68th Precinct Explorers Are Doing Henna Tattoos on Wednesday, October 5th in Bay Ridge – $5.00
On Wednesday, October 5th, the 68th Precinct Explorers will be doing henna tattoos at the police precinct at 333- 65th Street.
They will be there from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm on their day off from school. Henna tattoos are $5.00.
What a great way to share culture in our community and raise money for the Explorers!

Net Rx Pharmacy Opened on 3rd Ave – Bay Ridge
Net Rx Pharmacy opened on corner of 3rd Avenue and 97th Street.
This is the corner where Pipin’s Pub used to be years ago. (See photo)
The rest of the building has condos on the top levels and medical offices at the lower level. Dr. Kravtsov, an OB-GYN has an office here. (See the inside of the office)

SkinEnvy Cosmetic and Laser Center is in this building and they do botox.
Finally, TechnoGym is on the window. The business sells home and commercial exercise machines. (See website)

Will Andrew Gounardes Debate Brian Fox at The Dyker Heights Civic Association?
The NYS Senate District 26 is a new district. It extends from part of Dyker Heights to across the waterfront of several Brooklyn neighborhoods.
In the beginning of September, the Dyker Heights Civic Association invited Andrew Gounardes and Brian Fox to debate on October 11th.
Fox agreed to debate, but Senator Gounardes has not responded, even thought the organization asked for a response by October 3rd.
The super gerrymandered District 26 is quite different and extends across the waterfront of many neighborhoods. St. Philips Church is part of the district and is marked in teal above.
Anyone who thought a fair district was created here is clueless on what a district should look like statistically. Take a look:
Why didn’t Andrew Gounardes or newspapers share those statistics with the community? They don’t want you to know!
Men who are terrible representatives gerrymander, so they don’t get voted out.
When Andrew Gounardes realized he couldn’t help home owners with property taxes, as he had promised, Gounardes should have stepped down so that people can get help from a more outspoken and driven representative.
Gounardes pushed more red light cameras this year and didn’t reveal that his friends were lobbied for these cameras. The red light cameras are a joke because everyone has Waze on their phone.

Nissan Hit on Shore Road and 97th Street

The car was parked on Shore Road and 97th Street.
The good news is there appears to be a note. The Ridgite urged the car owner to go to the car and get the note before it blows away.

Skull Decorating at Wonder Room in Bay Ridge
On Saturday, October 8th at 12:00 pm, there will be a Halloween themed Skull Decorating Class at Wonder Room Coffee and Flower Shop.
The skulls will be painted, then decorated with flowers, rhinestones, pearls, etc. This will be 1 hour long class & will include hot chocolate from our coffee shop. Fun for both kids & adults.

Francesco LoPresti Street Naming In Brooklyn
Councilman Ari Kagan shared the photo above of the corner of Bath Avenue and Bay 20th Street re-naming for Francesco LoPresti.
Holding the street sign in the photo about is Ari Kagan is LoPresti’s parents and his girlfriend, Kaitlin Reagan.
LoPresti was a 24-year-old Brooklynite and TikToker.
He fought testicle cancer since he was 17 years old. LoPresti died in March. (NY Post) His fans were very sad over his passing. (See People Magazine)
