DOT Says Call in the Unused Street Sheds to 311
FACT: all New Yorkers deserve cleaner streets. One way we’re making this happen is by removing abandoned dining sheds. Our Workers, along with @NYC_DOT removed this shed in #BayRidge, which no long served any purpose. See a shed that needs to be removed? Call 311. pic.twitter.com/Gw5jnIXJVO

Vito LaBella Gets Deputy Inspector Tolson To Clarify Crime – It’s Not Down…..Watch The Video!
Tonight Vito La Bella was at the 68th Precinct Community Council meeting.
Vito had Deputy Inspector Tolson clarify what he means when he says Crime is down. Tolson said he was just referring to index crimes (murder, robbery, felony assault etc.)
EVEN THOSE CRIMES ARE UP 23%, SO CRIME IS NOT DOWN.
VITO LABELLA IS THE REPRESENTATION BROOKLYN NEEDS! LaBella, a retired police officer knows how to talk with the police and translate it for the public.
LaBella knows that the changes in the law have caused these failures.
Vito isn’t afraid to say Crime is up….and he’s ready to work on getting it down.

Petty larceny and other non-index crimes are also up. It’s the quality of life crimes that are important, La Bella explained. The crowd clapped in agreement with LaBella!
We should have heard Andrew Gounardes speak up for the community like this!
LaBella’s opponent quietly stood on the other side of the room and did not speak at the meeting.
Vito LaBella was a police officer so he knows how to work with the police. He’s also a troubleshooter and very persistant.

Max Rose Thinks He Is In “Striking Distance”
Max Rose is in striking distance of losing this election.
If Max spoke out against Gounardes’ vote to gerrymander the district, this never would have happened and Rose would have been a better position.
During the online debate with Malliotakis, Rose already acted defeated.

Check Stealing in Bay Ridge Happened At the Post Office – Inside Job – Arrest Made

Captain Tolson told Bay Ridge that someone was stealing checks, cleaning them and selling them on the Dark Web.
Captain Tolson said they realized it was happening at the Post Office and it was an inside job! In the Spring, it was believed to be the mailboxes – see here. Captain Tolson said the mailboxes are secure.
Captain Tolson said an arrest was made this week.
There aren’t any stories about this on any politician’s pages. Why is the news from our area censored like this? Justin Brannan, Andrew Gounardes, Mathylde Frontus and the Captain think this is secret.
Why didn’t journalists for this area grab this story of a postal employee stealing checks – c’mon that is news!

Our Neighbor in Bay Ridge With The Great Hair Asked When Do We Stop This?
Bay Ridge is getting to the breaking point.
At tonight’s 68th Precinct Meeting, several Bay Ridge residents spoke out about the robberies that area happening in our community.
We were cheering four our neighbor with the beautiful shiny hair. She was clear for the community: Enough is Enough – this new system isn’t working. (I found out who she was! She’s someone who has taken action in this community.)
The Bay Ridge resident spoke about how people are arrested repeatedly and then just released due to the changes in bail law made in the NY Senate (Andrew Gounardes voted in favor of this.)
The 68th Precinct Officer agreed that repeat offenders were a problem.

Pippins is opening at 8814 – 3rd Avenue on Friday, October 21st.
It will be just the bar over the weekend, then the restaurant return on Monday, October 24th.
