There Are 22 Smoke Shops in Bay Ridge

Captain Tolson told Bay Ridge at tonight’s meeting that there are now 22 smoke shops in Bay Ridge. (Video here)
Politicians, Andrew Gounardes and Mathylde Frontus voted to allow the sale are marijuana.
Why didn’t Gounardes and Frontus limit the number of shops per community? Everyone who knows Brooklyn and people always overdo it here. One resident said the places are open late at night.
Nine hundred smoke shops applied to sell recreation marijuana in NYC. One hundred and seventy places will have their licenses to sell shortly.
Captain Tolson also said these stores don’t have the ability to sell tobacco. So what are they selling?
One Ridgite spoke up and said that she went into the smoke shop and she was offered marijuana.
In a few days, hundreds of stores in NYC will have the license to sell pot.

October 19, 202210th Rape This Year Within the 68th Precinct

Tonight, Inspector Tolson spoke and didn’t mention the 10th rape in the 68th Precinct that is on Compstats this week. Not one politician did either.
Here’s the location of this crime:

You can speak about a crime without giving the personal details of the crime. This community has the right to know!

See this stat yourself HERE – choose Brooklyn South from the first pulldown menu. Choose 68th Precinct from the second pulldown window.

This week our neighborhood was named on the cover of The Daily News.

Instead of owning it, Inspector Tolson couldn’t told the audience that burglaries are down 21% this year. Does he listen to himself speak?
The meeting room was filled with people who want to help – to do something and not just feel sympathy for victims of crime.
Inspector Tolson doesn’t live here and at the end of the day he goes home to a community that isn’t on the cover of the paper or up to their 10th rape this year.

October 19, 2022Was the Bay Ridge Screwdriver Bandit Captured?

At the 68th Precinct meeting tonight, Captain Tolson said that a Bay Ridge resident on Shore Road saw the thief that was breaking into cars.
The Ridgite called the police and she pointed out the robber. The 68th Precinct police arrested the Screwdriver Bandit!
Not one politician told Bay Ridge this good news. Why not? It’s not a secret. We could use a little good news.

October 19, 2022The 68th Precinct Towed Cars from Poly Place

Inspector Tolson told us before the Summer that he was going to change the parking on Poly Place. Months before that, he also said the same thing.
Senator Andrew Gounardes hasn’t followed up, so there has been no change.
Inspector Tolson said that the 68th Precinct Police towed ten 18 wheelers from Poly Place. Then he quickly added that more trucks parked there the following days.
Inspector Tolson doesn’t live here, so it doesn’t bother him.
