Police Were at McKinley Library – Ft. Hamilton
On Wednesday afternoon, there were four NYPD Police Officers at McKinley Library at 6802 Fort Hamilton Pkwy.
The officers were looking for a perpetrator from a crime last month.

August 19, 2025The Brass Cross on St Mary Mother of Jesus’ Tabernacle Was Stolen
St Mary Mother of Jesus Roman Catholic Church at 2326 – 84th Street in Brooklyn had someone streal the cross from the top of the tabernacle on Friday, August 8th.
A thief went in and unscrewed the six inch brass cross.
The 62nd Precinct has been very responsive to the church according to Monsignor Vaccari:

August 19, 2025Ridgestock Will be on September 6th – Bay Ridge
Ridgestock will be on September 6th at Leif Ericson Park on 66th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues) in Bay Ridge starting at 12:00 pm.
This free music festival was supposed to happen in June, but it had to be rescheduled).
Thanks to Tony Fiumano for organizing a music festival for Bay Ridge and to all these local bands for donating their time – so awesome!

August 18, 2025Car Slammed Into Dumpster on 78th Street
Around 2:45 pm today, a driver hit the dumpster on 78th Street (off 5th Avenue) in Bay Ridge.
This set off the airbags in t chear. The driver took his luggage out of the car and walked down to L’Angelo di Palermo (the Sicilian deli on the corner).
The police came and the man walked into an ambulance. Hopefully, he is alright.
