Bay Ridge Businesses Suffering…And Closing

Some Bay Ridge Businesses were featured on Channel 1 News. See video

Bob Howe spoke about more restaurants will close by October because indoor dining is not allowed. There has to be a way to do this! If children can eat in schools, then families can eat in restaurants. NYC could require that restaurants make plexiglass booths and have ventilation. DO SOMETHING!

We need another event on the Avenue…..let’s boost these businesses. And please don’t say they aren’t allowed because I see other neighborhoods having events. I won’t say it was as big as a Summer Stroll, but it looked busy!

Brooklyn FC Soccer Tryouts in Bay Ridge

Brooklyn FC will have tryouts at Ft Hamilton High School over the next few days:

-Tuesday 9/1 (tomorrow): 8am – GIRLS born 2012-2014
–Wednesday 9/2: 8am – BOYS born 2011-2014
–Thursday 9/3: 8am – GIRLS born 2012-2014

Is Patsy’s Pizzeria in Bay Ridge Closed?

Patsy’s Pizzeria on 3rd Avenue and 88th Street has not reopened.
Their place has a hydrant out front, so it may not be possible to do outdoor dining there. Being a business owner isn’t easy under regular conditions.
Being a restaurant owner during COVID – 19 – terrible.

My Natural Pet and NYC Teens for Animals are having a cat adoption event on Sunday, August 30th at 12:00 – 5:00 pm.
My Natural Pet shop is at 8318 – 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge.

Older Dog Taken in Bay Ridge – UPDATE: HOME!

UPDATE: Cupcake was found on 65th Street by two boys. Their Mom helped them return the dog!

Be careful, if you have a small dog don’t leave it in your yard alone.
A man took the older dog (seen above) in Bay Ridge today. The dog is ten years old and needs medicine.

The man probably thought this was a young, cute, puppy that he could sell. But the Maltese is 10 years old and needs medicine.
The black and white dog was last seen this morning around 10:00 am outside of 840 Bay Ridge Avenue.

BRING HIM BACK, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!
I am not the owner of this dog, but I imagine the owners are a wreck because their dog disappeared and needs medicine.
If you happen to be the man who took the dog (or his family members), I can help you return to the dog to the owner.
Prayers for the dog’s fast return.
