Bring on the Robotic Police Dogs!

The Post shared that they are using robotic police dogs in The Bronx. (See here)
While robots can’t replace the police, it might help in areas where we have no patrols and there has been a rise in crime.

Avoid the Bay Ridge Avenue Station If You Can
A Bay Ridge resident shared on social media that there were a lot of hypodermic needles at the Bay Ridge Avenue Station.
Last Thursday around 3:30 pm, a 68 year old man was attacked. (See police video below)
?WANTED for ROBBERY: On 2/18/21 at approx. 3:30 PM, on the staircase of the Bay Ridge Avenue ‘R’ subway station @NYPD68PCT Brooklyn. Christina Holton St. Kits is Missing Girl from Staten Island
Christina Holton St. Kits is missed by her mother.
She placed signs all over Brooklyn!
Christina has been missing from her home in Staten Island since Monday, February 15, 2021 (the signs says February 14th). Very short story here
Christina is 12 years old.
Christina, If you see this – call your mother. Just let her know you are okay.

Bay Ridge Attorney Accused of Throwing a Molotov Cocktail is Offered a Plea Deal
Urooj Rahman, an attorney from Bay Ridge was accused of an incident during a George Floyd protest this Summer.
The Post reported that Rahman and the other attorney involved were offered plea deals. (See here)

This weekend is the Embrace Winter Festival on 3rd Avenue from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
Many businesses are participating and each area on the avenue has some nice activities for children.

68th Precinct Meeting 2/23
The 68th Precinct is having a meeting on Tuesday, February 23rd.
It’s strange that the NCO’s haven’t taken these meetings online. I guess they don’t want to get too much input.
These would be my NCOs. I couldn’t even tell you what they look like because they aren’t in the area.

DA Gonzalez Addresses the “Surge in Gun Violence with a Gun Buy Bay
Tonight during the Community Board 10 Meeting, Nancy Lulu from District Attorney, Eric Gonzalez’ office spoke about the “Surge of Gun Violence.”
Gonzalez’s solution was a gun buy back event. People returned 48 guns during the event.
Nancy Lulu forgot to tell Bay Ridge that these events don’t happen in this area or anywhere close by. People aren’t going to travel miles away to turn in guns, especially during the Winter.
