The NYPD shared this photo with the Daily News reporter on Sunday, April 11th. Why is there such a delay in getting that information to the public?
Here’s the strange part: The reporter said that the cops want the publics help. If they want our help, why wouldn’t they share that info right away.
The politicians in this area do not share information from the police. We have politicians tweeting stupid information about the governor, instead of alerting the community that there is danger in the area.
There was an assault at this station in late February (see here), heroin use in this station and now this!

April 12, 2021Armed Robbery in Sunset Park – 59th & 4th Avenue

Around 8:00 pm, there was a robbery at gunpoint on 59th Street and 4th Avenue.
The Citizen App described the perp. He has a tattoo with the name Sylvia on his left forearm.
Apparently someone knows the perp because they identified that he lives in The Bronx.

Lioni’s won a best of Brooklyn Award! Congratulations Lioni’s!
Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights business owners should use social media as well as Lioni’s does.
They post pictures of their sandwiches in the afternoon. Even if you don’t like coldcuts and sandwiches, it’s the time of the day when people start thinking about dinner. So if you sell food, post a picture on instagram and tag with #BayRidge #DykerHeights #Brooklyn

A bird attacked a person on 14th Avenue and 46th Street. When I saw the green bird (See here), I thought this was Shaggy.
But the colors aren’t correct. Shaggy has a lot more grey and a deeper green color. (See here)

April 11, 2021Ho Keen Kung Fu Self Defense is Coming to BR

Ho Keen Kung Fu Martial Arts at 6906 – 6th Avenue closed down five years ago. Now, the former owner, Gary Mah is bringing Ho Keen Kung Fu Self Defense to Bay Ridge.
The former owner, Gary Mah and the landlord of 6906 – 6th Avenue are doing something cool together to help people! The landlord has provided Gary the space to teach martial arts (So kind) Gary is going to give classes to those in need.
What does Gary need to get started? He needs donations to purchase martial arts equipment (striking pads, mats, safety equipment, cleaning supplies).
See the GoFundMe Page here. Even contributing $5 or $10 will help because he has a lot of low cost items to purchase. And this let’s Gary and his kind landlord know we support them!

April 11, 2021Thank You 68th Pct. Auxiliary Police, Explorers and Community!!
Across NYC yesterday, NYC police officers were painting their communities and getting rid of graffiti.

Thank you to the 68th Precinct Auxiliary Police Officers, the 68th Explorers (the teens they mentor) and the Youth Leadership Council for painting in Bay Ridge.

Because NYC Council and the NYPD don’t work together, many people didn’t know about this event. Even this political reporter is questioning the event:

In our area, the 68th Precinct Auxiliary Police have been doing this for awhile. (See here)
Last August, Sen. Gounardes took credit for their work and sent a story to the paper claiming it was his work, (See here) even though the man in the picture is clearly wearing his police officer uniform.
Sometimes people question if a mismatched square of paint is better – it definitely is. The presence of graffiti says that someone owns that area and the community doesn’t care.

April 11, 2021Eric Adams Did Not Get Endorsed by The Bay Ridge Dems – Gounardes and Brannan’s Political Club

The Bay Ridge Democrats endorsed Dianne Morales. We are glad to see they didn’t endorse Eric Adams.
Eric Adams took three days to show up when the prisoners at MDC Detention Center were freezing. If he lives in Brooklyn, why did it take three days? If he was away, why didn’t he fly back immediately and help?
Eric Adams and Justin Brannan have been pushing a drone bill for REBNY and the Drone Lobbyists – even during the pandemic. (See here) It’s clear these politicians put money over people.
If you are into defunding the police (we are not) by three billion dollars, then Diane Morales is your woman. (See here) I didn’t realize the Bay Ridge Democrats were so against the police!
