Lost Girl Found in Sunset Park
A little girl was found on 55th Street and 7th Avenue in Sunset Park.
The little girl is now at the 72nd Street Precinct Police Station.
Her poor parents must be so worried! 72nd Precinct: 718-965-6311.

Councilman Brannan Gets Called Out By People Outside of Our District
Lower Eastside NY residents are not happy about the The East Side Coastal Resiliency Project.
In 2018, a plan was made to help reduce the flooding in Manhattan. The original plan was scraped and a new plan (much more expensive plan) was introduced.

The people are against the current plan because they believe it will destroy a good portion of the East River Park for many years.
Some residents formed the East River Park Action group to fight for their park. (See their website)
Kirsten Theodos, a Manhattan resident, requested the Value Engineering Study for the project because it was cited by officials. The people were told there was no such study. A month later, the report appeared, but it is barely readable because most parts were blackened out.
NY’ers contacted Councilman Brannan since he is the chair of Waterfront and Resiliency Committee. Brannan didn’t respond to their calls or e-mails.
Today, AMNY has a feature from Brannan saying that he is joining the people in getting the report. (See here) Why did Brannan wait months to help them?
The group called Brannan out tonight:
At the end of January, the activists asked Brannan for a hearing, so they can understand this plan, why changes were made and alternative plans to keep the park because there is a pandemic. They don’t understand why Brannan hasn’t requested a hearing yet!
On April 18th, the group is having a protest in the park about this plan.

Was a Man Stabbed in Bay Ridge?
A little after 12:00 am this morning, the Citizen App showed a video taken on 3rd Avenue and 99th Street. See here
There was an ambulance, a crowd a people and the description written with it said that a man was stabbed in the leg with non-life threatening injuries.

It’s Not About Canceling Culture, It’s About Doing Better
Congresswoman Malliotakis sometimes likes to poke back at the left.
While Malliotakis’ whimsical sneakers are cute and will make the right laugh, the topic here is kind of serious to educators, who are ready to pluck every racist image or word from the school system (and the rest of the world too!)
Stand back while they do because they are making the world better!
Many people learned to read from Dr. Seuss’ books filled with non-sense and fun words.
Some of Dr. Seuss’ books are filled with racists images and the play on words is hurtful towards groups of people. We didn’t notice them as kids, but if you open up a book now, it’s obvious. (See here and here)
When we KNOW better – we need to do better. Why? Because it’s about children and we need to do the best for them – all of them!
Update: Brannan thought he would post his shoes because he was upset by the attention Malliotakis was getting. He definately is not representing the working class!
He needs to put shoe polish on his shoes instead of tweeting!

How Do You Return License Plates at the DMV in Coney Island, Brooklyn?
For returning plate, you go to the back door.
They hand you an envelope you fill it out out the plates in and hand it back.
Then you get a letter in the mail (in about a week) showing that you returned the plates.
