August 24, 2021Did Governor Hochul Wear White for Her Inauguration For a Specific Reason?

Yes, she did! It’s a new day in New York!
Kathy Hochul is the first female governor of New York State! Female politicians wear white to honor those who went before them and those who will come after them. Kamala Harris did the same. (See here)
The women with her also wore white to celebrate this day:

Historically, women politicians used to this for years to protest and show unit. In the past few years we saw females such as Nancy Pelosi and AOC use white as a way to speak out against the former President of the United States. (See here)

August 24, 2021Protest Against Vaccine Mandates – Are These Just Anti-Vaxxers?

The numbers above are from today (August 25th). (See Vaccine Tracker)
Mayor de Blasio must be happy with this progress. His view of NYC is quite different from individuals who can’t (or don’t want to get vaccinated) becauase he has the responsibility of getting the city vaccinated.

The Pfizer vaccine has FDA approval now, so those who were vaccine-hesitant may have gone to get vaccinated.
There are still people protesting over the vaccine mandates.
Some people have health issues and have been told not to get the vaccine – see here.
Protests are happening on August 25th and August 26th against the vaccine mandates.

Some people are religious and some religions are against the vaccine. Is a religious exemption allowed for this? See here
Some of the people not vaccinated are firefighters, NYPD, nurses, EMT and other frontline workers. Will NYC fire them over not getting the vaccine?

August 23, 2021Another Ferry for Staten Island

Mayor de Blasio was on Errol Louis’ show talking about the new Staten Island ferry.

This ferry is operated by a subcontractor through the EDC. (Photos here)
It takes 18 minutes to get to Battery Park and 35 minutes to get from Staten Island to 39th Street in Manhattan. (More info)
And the first fast ferry trip from St. George has begun… pic.twitter.com/mrX48gwC6H
— Jimmy Oddo (@HeyNowJO) August 23, 2021
It cost $2.75 (it’s not the free ferry that the Department of Transportation has already). It’s at another pier a few blocks away.

While these ferry rides are $2.75 a person, they cost NYC around $10 each. (Source) How come no one is asking that? No one is wondering why Staten Island got another ferry? Someone is making some serious CHA-Ching.
Whenever the EDC is involved, it’s always bad news.
