It’s great to see these teens choosing to make make a difference in the community!

Bay Ridge FDNY Unlocked a Car with a Child Inside
Bay Ridge fire fighters are the best!
Today they quickly unlocked door of a SUV with a child locked inside. The car was outside of PS 187 on Ridge Blvd and 86th Street around 4:30 pm today. (See here)

It’s so easy for this to happen when a Mom is busy and has more than one child.
Thank God for all of these great people.

NYC Falafel Review Tried Gyro King in BR
Youtuber, NYC Falafel Review has been reviewing falafel in NYC for the last five months. He’s also a history buff and gives some facts about the area.
After ordering a falafel at Gyro King at 7408 – 3rd Avenue, this Youtuber went to Owls Head Park and enjoyed his falafel.
While he didn’t rave about the Gyro King’s falafel sandwich, he thought it was good, fresh and reasonably priced at $6.00!
He wasn’t satisfied with the sauce used on the gyro and described it as tasting like mayonnaise. I think many Irish people in Bay Ridge would like to hear that because some people don’t like Irish food.

People Were Hit By Lighting at Orchard NY Beach in The Bronx
Six people were hit by lightening at Orchard Beach in the Bronx today around 5:00 pm. A 13-year-old boy was one of the six people taken to Jacobi Hospital to be treated.
A person nearby the incident at the beach said she heard popping and then people screaming and running from the beach without their bags and stuff.

Census Results for 2020 – Brooklyn’s Population
In 2020, there were 629,000 more people in NYC since 2010 (there’s less now because some left due to Covid-19). (Source)
Brooklyn’s population: 2,736,074 – while all of the boroughs grew, Brooklyn grew the most with a 9.2% increase since 2021. (Source)
Chicago’s population: 2,746,388

Apartment Building on 3rd Avenue and 100th Street
In 2019, three buildings were purchased and the plans for two apartment buildings were submitted.
There’s still a lot more work to go!
