August 12, 2021Pasticceria Rocco Owners Speaks Out Against Vaccine Mandates. Businesses Don’t Want To Tell You What To Do

Pasticceria Rocco is a fantastic place on the corner of 4th Avenue and 94th Street in Bay Ridge. They have the sign above posted, which may bring some controversy….depending on how you feel.

The city is mandating restaurants and other businesses to check vaccination cards of patrons starting August 17th.

The owner explained that she doesn’t want to discriminate against vaccine status. In an August 16th article, the owner said this was not political. (See here)
Businesses don’t want to dictate to people what to do with their bodies….they just want to do business and serve their customers.
At Pasticceria Roccos bakery in Bay Ridge Brooklyn where the owner put up a sign on her door that states we do not discriminate. Everyone is welcome , Vaccinated or not

Brian Fox, who is running for Bay Ridge/Dyker Heights NYC Council seat stopped by to support the owners of Rocco’s.

I think this business with gain and lose customers. Die-hard vaccine supporters will be angry with this business. Democrats who want this to be political will also take this personally. But I think the business will also get new support from people who aren’t ready to get vaccinated yet.

August 12, 2021Wanted for Robbery on 92nd Street

Detectives are attempting to identify the individual pictured below who is wanted for a robbery that occurred on Friday, August 6, 2021 in the vicinity of 92 Street and Gelston Avenue.
If you have any information please call 718-436-4236.
Strange how not one politician in the area mentioned that a person was walking around pointing a gun in a building on Gelston Avenue. A lot of them are tweeting, but not one mentioned it. Does that mean they don’t know or they don’t care?

August 12, 2021Chris McCreight Speaks Out for Redistricting Because He Wants to Run for Assembly….He Won’t Run Against Tannousis Because He Can’t Win

Where has Chris McCreight been as lobbyists are ruling in NYC?
McCreight has been silent for years as Justin Brannan pushed a drone bill for lobbyists from 2018 – 2021. Even during the pandemic, while businesses were suffering, Brannan pushed for the drone bill. (See here)
What happened to Chris McCreight, the District Leader who was against lobbyists? He’s silent as he is Brannan’s Chief-of-Staff.
Now McCreight wants to advocate redistricting so that he could run for that position in Bay Ridge.
McCreight was eligible to run against Michael Tannousis in the last election, but there wasn’t a shot of Staten Island voting for a Democrat. Brandon Patterson ran a terrible campaign and was defeated by Tannousis:

Here’s McCreight’s e-mail plea to Bay Ridge:

August 12, 2021Jumaane Williams Wants to Give Money To People at Risk of Committing Gun Violence

Jumaane Williams is the Public Advocate. If you contact him about your property taxes, he won’t respond until you write to him publicly on social media. Then his office will send you a form letter and he won’t do anything else or follow up – even YEARS later.
Williams wants NYC to pay people who are at risk of committing gun violence around $1,000 a month to be in a program. The people in this program can get more money for meeting goals like obtaining a driver’s license or GED. (See here)
If you are a decent person and do they right thing, aren’t eligible for this program.
Jumaane Williams lives on the Fort Hamilton Army Base – he wants to defund the police because he is protected by the military on the base. He doesn’t tell anyone that part – the press had to reveal it. (See here)
