65-Year-Old Brooklyn Woman Stopped Robbery

The attacker jumped off his bike to attempt to rob this Brooklyn woman. The description from the news said that he dragged her and punched her. (Story here)

But like most Brooklyn women, she wouldn’t let go of that bag.

The bag had the money she earned from collecting cans. Even though I am cheering for her, this story is heartbreaking because she could have died over this.

Another Guinea Pig Dumped at Owls Head Park

This is the second time in a month where we have seen a guinea pig was dumped at Owls Head Park in Bay Ridge. (See here)

This is cruel because the guinea pig is going to be eaten by a cat or raccoon. Someone would need to set up a trap and capture this guinea pig.

If you have a pet you don’t want, please give it to someone or bring it to a shelter.

Bay Ridge Pet Lovers Worked to Help a Bird

A bird was hurt on Fort Hamilton Parkway between 85th and 86th Street. One woman shared the message on social media, but was unable to bring the bird to Manhattan to the Wild Bird Rescue.

Another woman went and put the bird in the box and shared a picture that the bird was alive and had a hurt leg.

Then Sarai went and got the bird. She saw the bird’s wing and leg were hurt. She is going to bring it to the Wild Bird Rescue.

She said she would share an update with the group.

Such amazing kindness. : )
