Carjacking in Bay Ridge (Gun Used)

A white Ford Explorer was taken in a car jacking last night around 10:40 pm.

Four suspects armed with a gun took the SUV on 68th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue. (Here) The thieves were seen driving northbound on 6th Avenue.

We are sorry our neighbors lost their car and had this awful experience. : (

Senator Andrew Gounardes Rallies for Nassau and Suffolk County – We Need Politicians Who Represent Bay Ridge

Senator Andrew Gounardes’ bills don’t reflect the needs this community.

Writing bills for unions in Suffolk and Nassau Counties isn’t helping people in Brooklyn!

The Nassau County Corrections Officers Political Action Committee donated $250 to Gounardes campaign.

Suffolk AME donated $1000 to Senator Gounardes campaign.

The Senators representing Suffolk and Nassau County can rally for their workers.

The former Senator did the same thing and wrote bills for people outside of our area – I wrote about it 2017 (See here)

We need people who are committed to this community to run for positions here so that bills reflect our community’s needs.

A politician who is serving the needs of unions an the Democrat Party doesn’t improve our community.

Chihuahua Missing in Sunset Park, Brooklyn

Peanut is a chihuahua missing in Sunset Park, Brooklyn since November 8th. He was last seen on 8th Avenue and 56th Street.

Last seen on Monday, 11/8/2021 in Sunset Park Brooklyn wearing his red harness.

Affordable Housing – Sunset Park, Brooklyn

On 51st Street in Sunset Park, the library property was given to a developer. The plan was for a new library to be in the bottom floor of the development and affordable housing could be built.

There are 49 unit to apply for in this building.

Bay Ridge Toyota Donated Money to Three Brooklyn Organizations – Two in Bay Ridge

Bay Ridge Toyota had a contest that allowed the community to vote on which organization should win.

Bay Ridge Toyota donated $1500 to the Brooklyn Book Bodega (in the Brooklyn Navy Yard), $750 to the Bay Ridge Community Development Center and $500 to the Bay Ridge BID on 5th Avenue.

The Infrastructure Bill Money That People Want to Waste

We can already see that NY is going to waste the infrastructure money due to greed.

There is no one in Bay Ridge hoping for a Bay Ridge to Astoria line. (See here)

NYC’s street need real repair (not patches) and Dyker Height’s needs to be rewired.

Why are people who know very little about infrastructure commenting on how the infrastructure money should be spent?

Free Skating at Wollman Rink 11/14 – Sign up This Morning

Wollman Rink in Central Park used to be operated by the Trump organization. A new company is opening the renovated rink on Sunday, November 14th.

There is free skating at the rink on Sunday if you sign up today at 10:00 am here.

The rink is open for ice skating from November to early April.
