November 19, 2021Did Malliotakis Stay for Kevin McCarthy’s Filibuster?

I love when someone in the House of Representatives filibusters. I don’t care if they are Democrats or Republicans – it shows passion!
The House Minority Leader spoke last night for eight and a half hours. He stayed powerful while talking about the “Build Back Better Act.” McCarthy also talked off-topic about his house and how he can’t afford to drive a Tesla. He spoke about Trump not winning the Noble Prize – that was just ridiculous.
God bless his Kevin McCarthy’s wife that he can go on and on like that!

Oops her mask fell
Where was Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis? She was supporting the minority leader for awhile.

Then she was tweeting to get support online for McCarthy.

Malliotakis had spoken out against this bill earlier in the day.
Democrats in the House are intent on destroying the American Dream and implementing socialism. We are going to work with our partners in the Senate to stop them. #StopTheBBB pic.twitter.com/SW71Opwx1L
— Office of Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (@RepMalliotakis) November 18, 2021
The Republicans Congress members must have planned for shifts to support McCarthy’s filibuster because different Republicans were sitting behind McCarthy in the morning hours.

November 19, 2021Check Your Roof Before It’s Freezing Cold

We check our roof every year before the Winter comes. This year we had some damage to repair.

This year, we had some damage. We think this may have happened from Hurricane Ida. (but it could be regular wear and tear as well).

We repaired everything and we are ready for the Winter – are you?

November 19, 2021Albanese and Borelli Twitter Battle

Sal Albanese ran to be a City Council representative in Staten Island this year. He lost badly.
If you watched the debate on NY 1, you would have been surprised to see that Sal went into the debate unprepared and his opponent, David Carr, gobbled him up.
Albanese locked in the PBA Support and for Staten Island, you would have thought that would have been an election decider.
But the Republican Party in Staten Island was relentless and they were determined not to lose the seat. They went all out for David Carr. Joe Borelli said, “Albanese might have the support of the law enforcement union, but I think more law enforcement officers would rather lick the floor of the Ferry Terminal than vote for him.”
Today Sal Albanese tweeted against Joe Borelli:

When someone asked Sal about who he is talking about, Sal didn’t even know the woman’s name.
Borelli supported Republican candidate, Inna Vernikov in a race against Steve Saperstein in Brooklyn. Inna won the seat!
Borelli’s Twitter game is very strong and he fired this back at Sal:

LOL

November 18, 2021Andrew Gounardes Fear Mongers After Brannan Barely Holds On In Election

Andrew Gounardes attempted to collect money by fear-mongering his base!
Instead of acknowledging that people in the neighborhood are tired of silent politicians, the fearful politician put out his donation link.
No one has to give anything, the NY Democrats will just throw hundreds of thousands into the empty suit’s campaign, just like they did last time.

November 17, 2021Seniors Watch Out for Purse Snatcher in Foodtown in Bay Ridge

It’s November, but the NYPD decided to share this information from October with people now.
Thank you to Loudlabs Media for sharing this information with our community!

Why didn’t the 68th Precinct share this information at their meeting last month (I was there and nothing was said about this. The Captain was tooting that “crime was done.” We all know that crime isn’t down – it’s just not reported or shared with the community.
THREE ROBBERIES AT FOODTOWN AND COUNCILMAN JUSTIN BRANNAN DIDN’T SAY ANYTHING TO LET BAY RIDGE KNOW?!

It’s awful to be represented by a Councilman who collects a paycheck but doesn’t inform the community about what is going on.
INCIDENTS:
1) Saturday, October 2nd – an 80-year-old neighbor was robbed at Foodtown at 9105 – 3rd Avenue. The thief stoler her wallet from her purse while she was shopping. Took: $200 in case and credit cards.
2) Friday, October 15th – a 73-year-old woman was asked for directions by two people at Foodtown at 9105 – 3rd Avenue. One took her wallet out of her bag (credit cards, keys and $600)
3) Wednesday, October 27th an 89-year-old woman was robbed at Foodtown at 9105 – 3rd Avenue. They removed her purse from her walker while she was shopping ($26 and credit cards)
The fact that Councilman Brannan FAILED to step in and alert the community AND DO SOMETHING to help the seniors shows he isn’t dedicated to this community.
We should have heard this information weeks ago from our councilman, senator, the 69th Precinct and the newspapers, so that the seniors our our community are alert when shopping in Foodtown.
Oh and Foodtown should have stepped in with some help for the seniors (shopping assistants or shopping hours where ONLY seniors can shop).
Three robberies in a month is a lot! Pretending nothing happened is Justin Brannan and Andrew Gounardes MO.

November 17, 2021Why Did Councilman Brannan Cross Spectrum’s Picket Line To Go On TV?

Since 2017, Spectrum has been on strike. Any politician appearing on Spectrum News is crossing Spectrum’s picket line.
“I know what it takes to win, I know what it takes to fight against adversity. I know what it takes to deliver for your constituents and ultimately that’s the job,” said @JustinBrannan. #MorningsOn1 pic.twitter.com/yyqR6DMVWF
— Spectrum News NY1 (@NY1) November 17, 2021
Justin Brannan is clueless why so many Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights residents voted against him.
Despite being clueless on the community, Brannan should have know better than to appear on a television station that won’t bargain with it’s workers. You either support unions OR you don’t — there is no in-between.

In March 2017, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 3 and Spectrum broke down, and 1,800 workers affiliated with the union walked off the job. Spectrum should have negotiated by now.

November 17, 2021Woman Stabbed and Robbed – 3rd Avenue and 88th Street in Bay Ridge

Around 8:30 pm last night, a woman was stabbed and robbed by a man on 3rd Avenue and 88th Street in Bay Ridge.
Did the story make it to the local papers today? No. For some reason a woman being hurt in our community is not news.
The woman was stabbed in the hand. People said there was a lot of blood on the street.
UPDATE: Tonight at the 68th Precinct’s meeting the Captain said, “the thief came behind the woman and grabbed her bag. As he was trying to get away, the victim’s hand got cut. “ (Why didn’t he say: While being robbed, a woman was slashed while trying to defend herself.)
The 68th Precinct did not provide any information about the perp – not even a description. There has to be some cameras in the area that they could have released an image by now (November 18th)
Not one politician spoke about this incident publicly – it was only addressed in a private facebook group, which was shared with me. Senator Andrew Gounardes does not view the safety of the community as being important.
Brannan thinks that speaking to his friends in a group is being a leader.
While both Mrs. Brannan’s must know the information, Justin doesn’t think the community needs to know this information to be safe.
Brannan shared this message on Facebook. I am blocked from viewing this account, so I am not sure if this was the whole message.

Yes, it’s illegal for elected representatives to block constituents, but he is like the old senator – not accountable to this community.
As everyone knows, I have never spoken about the councilman’s appearance, but I have spoken out against his bills for lobbyists and his failure to act for this community (See here) and for animals in NYC. (See here) While the Bay Ridge Democrats may not like animals, we do. We hate that dogs and cats are being killed weekly because Justin Brannan was silent.
