This morning around 8:45 am, the cute four-month-old cockerpoo puppy above was stolen by a man with a knife in Sheepshead Bay (on E 12 between Avenues X & Y).
The thief was caught and the dog was returned. The owner credits social media for quickly spreading the message.

December 16, 2021What Was Left Out of the Article About 2300 Cropsey Avenue in Bath Beach….

Yesterday, Ridgites were discussing the massive building at 2300 Cropsey Avenue in Bath Beach that was written about on NYC Yimby yesterday.

I went to the Lobbyist Database to follow the money.

I searched for the Cropsey and it came right up.
Look who the lobbyist principal officer is: Hey Domenic Recchia.

Recchia’s firm lobbied Councilman Justin Brannan. Not once has Justin Brannan mentioned that he was lobbied over this since he got into office in 2018.

2018:

2019:

2020:

2021:

Marty Maher from the Parks Department was also named in the lobbyist database like this:

WOW!
If you have questions about the height of this building, you may want to ask Brannan.
Who does he represent?

Leo owner of Leo’s Pizza (formerly Casa Calamari) at 8502 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge gave a pizza party to the winning classes, which collected the most coats – soooooooooooo sweet.
If you want to support Leo’s, he makes a pizza with vodka sauce. See menu

December 15, 2021Did Justin Brannan Forget to Say That REBNY Wanted to Change Office Space Into Housing?

Last December, this site showed that the The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) wants to change NYC office space into housing because many people didn’t return back to work.

Then there is Councilman Brannan seeking a task force to study office conversions. Remember Brannan’s last “task force” fail?
The property tax task force was a disaster! There was no one on the task force that was being overcharged for taxes. The people on the task force didn’t even discuss out area. When they had the meeting for Brooklyn, one of the people on the task force wasn’t present because she didn’t make it back from vacation. The Property Task Force gave no answers or a new rate. Brannan actually thanked the Property Task Force for the incomplete report. Senator Gounardes didn’t say or do anything.

Today, Justin Brannan wrote this on Twitter, but he failed to mention REBNY. He’s such a silly goose, he left out REBNY. (That’s not my sarcasm, that’s how Brannan likes to play on Twitter and call people silly for questioning him).

Brannan thinks no one will notice the tweet because it’s ten days before Christmas.
Ten people actually liked the tweet!
Who would like a Tweet like this?? Someone who works at REBNY did. And Brannan’s mother liked it. (See here)
Normally, I wouldn’t discuss someone’s mother, but when she wants to SUPPORT REBNY while our community is asking for help and Brannan thought this was OKAY to do during the pandemic, YES I am going to discuss Why did she like this?

Even stranger, Councilman Brannan thinks that the task force for this should study should have the commissioner of the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the head of the Department of Buildings, the City Council Speaker and Jumaane Williams. (Source)
When this article was written in March 2021, Justin Brannan thought he was going to be the NYC Council Speaker and he was going to push this through.
Scott Rechler, CEO of RXR Realty is quoted in The Real Deal’s article. “Rechler’s firm controls 26 million square feet of office space in New York City.” (Source)
Not so ironic, RXR Realty lobbied Councilman Justin Brannan in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Why didn’t Justin Brannan publish that information on his social media so everyone knows who he is rooting for?

You can find that information in the lobbyist database here. Sometimes Brannan supporters don’t believe Brannan would do this, so I put the link so they can check it for themselves.
Put RXR Realty LLC in the box under Client and Councilman Brannan in the Lobbying Target here. . Then click search.

A lot of money is being spent for these three years:

Mayor Bill de Blasio has criticized this plan, calling it a giveaway to the real estate industry. (Source) The plan was initially being run with Governor Cuomo! (See article)

Even during a global pandemic, Councilman Brannan can’t give promoting lobbyist interests a rest.
Do you all remember when Chris McCreight fought against the old senator and corruption? Now McCreight is silent as Brannan is doing this to our community and NYC! Why haven’t the Democrat District Leaders putting a stop to this nonsense?
‘

Chris McCreight must have changed positions on corruption. Read this:

That tweet didn’t age well. District Leaders like McCreight and Tori Kelly are silent about this.
If you are wondering why things don’t get done in Bay Ridge, it’s because of corruption.

December 15, 2021Commercial Real Estate Was Interested in Who Would Be NYC Speaker

Many people cheered that Justin Brannan wouldn’t be the Speaker, but the Commercial Observer (here) stated:
“Real estate industry leaders have quietly indicated they are more inclined to embrace Brannan, followed by Powers, Adrienne Adams or Moya, and are less supportive of Rivera, Ayala and Brewer for the position, sources said.”
“Most real estate folks would prefer to see a Justin speakership but that may turn people off,” one Brooklyn real estate executive said of Brannan. “I don’t think Justin would be psyched about that story.”
