Festive Bay Ridge

These gnomes are adorable!

The Grinch on a motorcycle. Very cute!

If you have a huge skeleton and can dress him up for Christmas – that’s pretty cool.

Everyone love Olaf! We saw him from three blocks away!

Fireworks in Bay Ridge on December 14th

If you hear fireworks around 7:00 pm in Bay Ridge, that means Santa has just arrived at St. Pats!

Don’t worry, the fireworks are only for 10-12 minutes, but they are amazing!

The people at St. Pats really know how to do it up for Chistmas. Santa’s sleigh rides down 4th Avenue to 96th Street and stops outside St. Pats.

The children’s eyes are huge and everyone is happy – even during the pandemic last year they did this. We walked into it last year and it was magical!

Whoever thought to do this at St. Pats is amazing!

Glad to Say Goodbye to NYC Speaker Corey Johnson

When Corey Johnson started out in NYC, we thought he was going to be good. But he was terrible and that’s what allowed Mayor de Blasio and this city to fall apart.

Johnson didn’t want to admit that NYC was far worse after he was in office. The downward spiral happened long before Covid.

Johnson won’t tell you about the deal that went down between NYC and ACC. All who allowed that will face God one day.

The nonsense of a property tax commission happened under Johnson. He didn’t know what to do and just talking without knowledge didn’t help our city.

Corey Johnson’s term ended with him talking nicely to the East River Park activists. He pretended he was listening and would help. But their park was flattened because Johnson failed to do anything. This wasn’t due to Corey’s lack of education or experience. This was due to a heartless man who didn’t care. How could anyone turn their back on some people who were fighting for their park?

Justin Brannan Didn’t Become the NYC Council Speaker

Justin Brannan barely got re-elected and he thought he should be the NYC Council Speaker.

Thankfully,Brannan won’t be! If he had the votes, he wouldn’t have bailed.

Adrienne Adams started off the NYC Council Forum with Errol Louis strong, but then she said a lot things that weren’t so good. The good thing is that she wasn’t a “defund the NYPD” Council member.

Any NYC Council member would have been better than Brannan because Brannan doesn’t care if dogs are killed (34 year contract with ACC – Brannan was silent) and the East River Park was destroyed while the people weren’t allowed to see the report. (See how rudely they were treated at Brannan’s office). Don’t be angry by this, Romans 12:19.

Brannan is the head of the NYC committee on resiliency. He receives extra money to head this committee. People in NYC drowned in their basements this year and Brannan still hasn’t action, so it doesn’t happen again.

The Councilman thinks that everything I write is from him. LOL!

I write about Bay Ridge! I have for many years – long before Justin Brannan was a Councilman. When money is an issue (see here), I share it. Brannan doesn’t write about Bay Ridge on his social media any more. Why didn’t he tell Bay Ridge about that money?

When Justin Brannan took office, he wrote a bill for drone lobbyists the first month in office. (See his bill) That’s who Brannan represents. In February 2021, Gothamist wrote about Brannan. (See here)

Bay Ridge is not better since Justin Brannan took office. His wife, mother and staff should have conveyed that message to him. The community did when he won by such a small margin. As the incumbent, Brannan should have been able to carry the election as well as Vinnie Gentile did on his second term. Even Democrats voted against him.

Groups that should be holding Justin accountable are not. Some people head groups that receive money from Brannan (or they work at organizations that are funded by Brannan), so they are silent and part of the problem.

I don’t think Brannan has been a good representative for this community for years now. This community deserves someone who is willing to work, represent and stand up for us – not hold our seat and be silent as dogs die for the next 32 years. (Info)

We wish Brannan would talk about the topics I have shared here this week – prostitution, commercial vehicles and crime in our area (especially in the subway).

STRANGE! Bay Ridge Environmental Group Calls Out Mike Tannousis But Won’t Call Out Justin Brannan For Failing to Act For the East River Park

Daniel Loud, the head of The Bay Ridge Environmental Group took fire at Assemblyman Michael Tannousis today. Loud wants Tannousis to speak out against Lauren Boebert’s hate.

Daniel Loud wrote this on Twitter (see here)

Strangely, Daniel Loud didn’t say a word about Justin Brannan failing to do anything to help the East River Park. Brannan is the chair of the NYC Council Resilency Committee.

Brannan would not respond to the activists at the East River Park. Brannan’s staffer would not even allow these masked activists in the office this Summer. (See video) I’ve pointed out the East River Park to Loud. His Environmental Group seems more like a political group as their biggest thing seems to be to speak out against Malliotakis.

Bay Ridge Covid Testing No Wait

Everyone goes to 86th and 5th Avenue or Cubecare because that’s the places they know. But the small pharmacies are the best because no one is there. You are in and out in minutes.

1) 8002 – 4th Avenue – No Wait for PCR Test 347-889-7200 (Yes this is Sunset Park, but if you are looking for fast – this is a good choice)
