December 24, 2025Huge Fire at Silver Gull Beach Club in Breezy

Early this morning there was a serious fire at the Silver Gull Beach Club in Breezy. https://is.gd/pnxGf3
This is a well-known area where many Bay Ridge residents have cabanas to enjoy the Summer days with their families. The news said the blaze engulfed a beach cabana at the club. Firefighters battled the fire for almost three hours.

Thankfully no one was injured. And while this cabana was destroyed by the fire, it’s just a small portion of this club.

Ilya Perloff was killed while riding a scooter in Brooklyn. He was only 41-years-old. The Marine Park resident was hit by a minivan. https://is.gd/087Ntq

December 22, 2025Another Rape in Bay Ridge – 18 for This Year
On December 18th another woman was raped in our community – 87th Street and 4th Avenue in Bay Ridge.
This is the 18th rape in the 68th Precinct this year.
These are crimes which no police officer or politician is talking about because they think you don’t know. Justin Brannan has been silent for years. Kayla Santosuosso thinks this is the way politicians should be.

December 21, 2025Ayat Restaurant in Bay Ridge Closed By The NYC Dept of Health
Ayat Restaurant at 8504 – 3rd Avenue was closed by the NYC Dept of Heath on Wednesday, December 17th. The inspectors were there from 11:30 am to 7:15 pm.

The other Ayat across the street was closed too.
On the website, they show the violations. Some of the violations are things that you wouldn’t expect such as:
