Do We Need Politicians To Take Pics From NYC’s Social Media Accounts and Repost Them?

When you see your local politician making a post on social media and you know he didn’t go outside and take the photo OR GIVE CREDIT TO THE SOURCE:

Then you head to the NYC Sanitation’s page because you know the photo will be there.

Justin Brannan failed to share information that the community could use like a link to Plow NYC to see when your block was plowed last: https://plownyc.cityofnewyork.us/plownyc

Bay Ridge is a NORC and there are many seniors who are worried about snow removal in front of their homes. Justin Brannan should have shared how can seniors get someone to shovel outside their home if they aren’t able to shovel.

On Facebook, there is a community for people to hire people who are shoveling. Some are students and some are professionals.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/683559869718490

Let 2025 put an end to the social media politicians and the goofy graphics that help no one in Brooklyn.

Dyker Lights is a Mess Because There is No Leadership in This Community

Year after year, there is more of a mess on the streets from Dyker Lights. Senator Andrew Gounardes and Councilman Brannan have been in these positions long enough that they should know how to do this job.

It’s not rocket science. They need more garbage pails and more pickups. They need the streets cleaned each morning during this season.

Put a pail on each corner so people can throw away their trash:

People shouldn’t have to live this way and beg for sanitation services. Dyker Heights doesn’t have a large population of Democrats so the area suffers.

The NYPD Waited Four Months To Tell Us About An Assault on a 16-Year-Old Girl in Bay Ridge

WANTED FOR FORCIBLE TOUCHING: On Saturday, August 9, 2025, at approximately 1:10 P.M., in the vicinity of 86 Street and 4th Avenue, NYPD 68th Precinct an unidentified individual approached a 16-year-old female victim, grabbed her chest, and attempted to kiss her. Have info? DM @nypdtips or call 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

How is the NYPD allowed to not notify the public for four months and on Christmas Day act as if they are communicating effectively with us?

How many other girls were touched because people were not given this information?

Why didn’t Senator Gounardes or Councilman Brannan share this information with the community? Both have said they talk to the police on a regular basis.

The reality is there is a teenage girl in Bay Ridge who has to be wondering why the 68th Precinct Police failed to take action after a pervert TOUCHED her?! It’s one thing to be quiet during an investigation, but not to mention this for FOUR months?!
