March 2, 2022Max Rose Took Over a Week to Speak Out Against Appointments in NYC That Angered the LGBTQ Community

In February appointments made to NYC government that shouldn’t have be made. Many people in NYC’s LGBTQ community are angry. See here

It’s March 2nd and Max Rose finally spoke up. It took over a week for Max Rose to speak out for the LGBTQ Community?!
Rose likes to play it safe. That’s why these appointments like these happened in NYC. There are too many politicians who are afraid to speak out and do the right thing.

Rose was too cowardly to even name the mayor on his tweet. (He didn’t use @ and the mayor’s name on the tweet). Rose probably timidly tweeted because he wants Adams’ endorsement.
The LGBTQ community doesn’t need this type of politician – we already have enough of these silent politicians.
Senator Andrew Gounardes should have protested with a group of people outside of Mayor Adams, but Gounardes cowardly tweeted as well and left the Mayor’s name off the tweet.

An ally of the LGBTQ+ is not a politician who writes on social media that he is sad. Politicians who claim to be allies are saying they will stand up for the LGBTQ+ community.
Gounardes is a member of the Lambda Independent Democrats so Brooklyn should have heard him speak out! (See here)

In June Gounardes shared this…..but if he wasn’t able to speak out, protest or stand up to the mayor.

Gounardes should be angry and protesting the promotion of people who don’t deserve being promoted. What message has these promotions sent in NYC?
Andrew Gounardes worked for Adams years ago, so this should have been an easy thing for him to do.

March 1, 2022Senator Andrew Gounardes Took Two Years to Correct a Bill to Protect NYS Workers.

In 2018, NYS wrote stronger laws to stop workplace discrimination and harassment. (See here)
Sadly, the law the politicians passed left out the staff of NYS politicians. In New York State, the staff of elected officials and judges was considered personal staff and was not covered under law.
Infomation:

Andrew Gounardes and some of the other politicians who wrote the bill are attorneys. Why didn’t they check the bill for loopholes before it was submitted?
In 2019, Senator Gounardes and Assemblywoman Yuh-line Niou had a bill to close the loophole.
For the next two years, the two politicians went on Twitter and tweeted about the bill several times a year. Nothing got done because Twitter isn’t real life.
When politicians want a bill to go through, they get a group of people together and protest regularly outside of someone’s office. Gounardes and Niou never organized any protests about this bill (they had time to protest before Covid-19 began in 2020)
How did these two politicians leave their staff and the rest of NYS unprotected for so long? Why weren’t the NYS Democrats motivated to change their mistake?
*This bill covers a small group of people in NYS – it’s not for everyone. It’s just for the staff of judges and politicians BUT ANDREW GOUNARDES ISN’T SAYING THAT – HE’S ACTING LIKE IT IS A BILL FOR EVERYONE! Gounardes is also talking about other bills, but this is the only bill that passed in the Senate and Assembly (he left that out too!) (See here)

Info about this crime.
