**This park redesign will take years to beginbased on other parks in our area.
In October 2020, NYC Parks held a meeting for Owls Head Park redesign. (See here) Kids went to the meeting and told the designers what they wanted in the park. One boy asked for a bridge attached to a board (like a pirate ship).
Although the designers seemed excited by the children’s ideas, they returned in March 2021 with a generic design for the park and there was no pirate ship.(See here) Other parks in NYC have receive a ship.(See here)
Another year has passed and NYC Parks hasn’t started working on Owls Head Park. By the time Owls Head receives the new design, the children who designed it will be too old to play in the kid’s section of the playground.

It’s four months later and not one politician spoke about this, no reporter in our area reported about it and no one investigated it.
When you vote in August and November, remember who was silent and who allowed a location for a school to be chosen this way.
