Borough Park Mom Dropped Baby From Balcony

This is so sad…….a 29-year-old mother in Borough Park dropped her 6-month-old son from the second floor balcony at 1870 – 51st Street at 4:50 am this morning.
The news said the baby was brought to Maimonides and he has fractures on the left side of his body. The child is in critical, but stable condition. **Prayers that this little boy is okay.**

The mother was taken to Methodist hospital in Park Slope.

The Brooklyn Bards will continue to honor the memory of the late Donal Nolan by keeping his band alive.
On Saturday, April 30th, the band will play at Smith’s Tavern in Park Slope.

Aurora Collection Is Opening on 86th Street
Aurora Collection is opening is on the corner of 86th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway (it’s diagonally across the street from where Jennifer Convertible Furniture used to be.)
This is a woman’s clothing store. See here
Here’s something cool about this new place……it’s been empty since before the pandemic.
It has been the saddest corner on 86th Street, so we were happy to see this purple storefront and the beautiful clothing!

False Alarm on 4th Ave. in Bay Ridge Last Night

Last night, 4th Avenue and 96th Street many ambulances and police cars were double-parked with their lights on. (See Adam’s video here)
It was reported that a woman was shot in that area.
The police searched for the woman, but didn’t find her. They did find a man banging on people’s doors, so they sent him in an ambulance to the hospital.

Woohooo! The Court of Appeals Ruled Against the New District Maps That Andrew Gounardes Voted In Favor Of
Bay Ridge – Wooohooooooooooo!
The Court of Appeals threw out the gerrymandered maps that NYS Senator Andrew Gounardes voted in favor of. (Story here)
Gounardes went on Twitter today and blamed Republicans (no I am not kidding – see here)
Andrew Gounardes had the ability to put fair district maps in our area, but he didn’t because he wanted to choose his voters. Today he should have acknowledge his mistake and apologized for voting for those maps!
This is the current district map:
This is what Andrew thought was fair for him so he could win:
Gounardes voted in favor of the district map below, so Max Rose would get more Democrats from Park Slope.
Rose should go to Park Slope and win there (Brad Lander and Bill de Blasio did – so he can too.)
If you have a child from 8 – 17, they will be voting in this district before it is changes again (with the next census).
Andrew Gounardes wanted to control the seat, rather than let those who aren’t jaded by the system, have a fair shot at creating a better life.

Many Democrats are with the other Democrat, Britney and Republicans, Conservatives and Conservative Democrats are with Malliotakis.

Rose campaigned in Park Slope, so he should move to that neighborhood and play them! If Bill de Blasio and Brad Lander can win there, Rose can win there too.
If only Andrew Gounardes made a fair district, this never would have happened.
We are glad Brooklyn has a chance at fair districts!

Wholesale PC’s Opened on 86th Street
Wholesale PC’s hung a sign at 555 – 86th Street (closer to Ft. Hamilton than to 5th Avenue).
The store had cell phone advertisements in the window. This storefront was empty for years.
It’s next to the Exotic Shop, which recently opened, but looks very well stocked with hookah items now. (In the above picture, this is the Mini Mart).
