August 30, 2022Watch Thief Kicked Sunset Park Woman on 8/28
The police are looking for the man above.
On Sunday, near noon, the man approached a 42-year-old woman outside of the Quality Inn Hotel on 3rd Avenue and 45th Street in Sunset Park. (See street view) He stole her bag and then he kicked her repeatedly until she lost consciousness. (Story here)
The news seems to be concentrating on her bag containing a Michael Kors watch worth $175. I’m glad the woman is alive – items can always be replaced.
The suspect is between 24 and 35 years old. He was last seen wearing a green Yankees baseball hat, black jeans, black boots and eyeglasses. (Source)
The woman was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition, but they expect she will survive, thankfully.

The good people who do TNR — Trap Neuter and Release were able to have the ASPCA truck come to Brooklyn and help them.
18 community cats were spayed/neutered, ear tipped and vaccinated.

Every Wednesday, the 68th Precinct Police have been at the park from 4:00 – 7:00 pm playing with the children.

August 29, 2022Brooklynites Try To Get Rite Aid to Fix It’s Cooling System
For several weeks, Ridgites have been going into Rite Aid at 9302 3rd Avenue (AkA Store 4712) and taking photos of the thermostat. It’s showing temperatures in the 90’s.
It’s good there are kind people who care about employees at a drugstore because many people would go in, notice the high temperature, complain and not do anything.
Ridgites alerted the Councilman and the store was closed temporarily, but it is open again and the thermostat shows 91.5%.
