Halloween Rockstars of Bay Ridge – 79th Street

You can’t help but smile when you stand outside this house on 79th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue in Bay Ridge.
There’s just so much to see with every detail they put into this scene:

I was mesmerized by this motion-activated werewolf, which actually howls.

This family loves Halloween and they are sharing that with the community. See this video of the house lit up at night.

Thanks for bringing the Halloween Spirit to Bay Ridge!

October 17, 2022Bay Ridge Made the Cover of the Daily News

Sadly, Bay Ridge made the cover of The Daily News for the robberies that business owners in our area experienced.
Congresswoman Malliotakis stood with the business owners – it was sad to read what they said – see here
Gounardes tweeted. (See here) Andrew plays on Twitter insulting Republicans, rather than taking any action for the community. Last night there was another attempted break-in reported on 3rd Avenue (See here)
We should have seen Gounardes and Brannan have security cameras installed around areas which were targeted last month.
Gounardes and the 68th Precinct have not spoken about crime3 honestly – not one man has said the word rape at any 68th Precinct meeting.
We need new people in office – ones not interested in lobbyists, but people interested in helping the community.

October 17, 2022Andrew Gounardes Won’t Help The Homeless at The 95th Street Station, But He Will Play With Jessica Ramos in the Train Station

Rider’s Alliance Advertisement – see here
Senator Andrew Gounardes has nothing to do on October 20th except play with another senator in the train station and have a “subway sprint.”
They are going to have a race at a station at posh Smith-9th Street Station, so they don’t have to deal with the homeless people on the R train in Bay Ridge. (See here)
You don’t have to RSVP to go to a subway station:

Why hasn’t the Riders Alliance called on these politicians to help the people on the train?
Change up the race and do something:

What would make the pols do this and not take action for their communities? I had to go and see if The Riders Alliance has lobbyists and sure enough they do!!

Years ago, Andrew Gounardes would have been the one complaining about the nonsense picture-taking politicians or the lobbyists, but the real problem was they were Republicans.

October 17, 2022Emily Gallagher is in Austria, But She Wants to Tweet About NYC Property Taxes – Even Though She Never Did Anything About Them Before

Assemblywoman Emily Gallagher is away in Austria, but her Twitter account is tweeting about property taxes in NYC.
Gallagher has never done anything about property taxes.
You will notice Emily mentions Brad Lander, but she won’t tell you that Lander has benefitted from low property taxes because they are friends. Cute, right?
While the NY State Senate and Assembly are not in Albany, Brad fights against property taxes.
When Gounardes and Gallagher are in Albany, no one did anything.
People who attended Brad Lander’s meeting in other parts of NYC found that his rate for taxes was higher than what the property tax commission returned with.

October 16, 2022Congestion Pricing Is Being Pushed By Lobbyists

Should their be extra charges for some drivers? Yes for commercial vehicles, but congestion pricing hurts many NY’ers.
Journalist, Clayton Guse at The Daily News told us what politiciasn know about the MTA and haven’t said – see article here.

Whose pushing congestion pricing?
The worst politicians in NYC and lobbyists (seen here)
Transalt is pushing hard:

Whose going to get hurt by congestion pricing?
1) New Yorkers who are trying to avoid the trains because they don’t feel safe.
2) New Yorkers going to hospital in Manhattan for treatments
3) Taxi drivers.

4) Students and families using Uber/car service to keep them safe
5) The middle class – NY’ers testified that this will hurt them.
6) The air in the Bronx will be dirtier. (Source)
When you see Brooklyn politicians like, Andrew Gounardes and Brad Lander pushing congestion pricing, you know something is wrong.
Nicole Malliotakis has been fighting this for Staten Island and Brooklyn.
Who will be driving cars in NYC if congestion pricing passes? The rich.

Right before 12:00 am, there was attempted break reported at a coffee shop on 88th and 3rd Avenue. (See street view – this mau be Hom?)
There isn’t much night life on this block – Cebu Restaurant is there, but it closed at 11:00 pm. Chadwicks is on the other corner also closed at 11 pm.
The right side of this street is quiet because Daddy O’s never opened and Pippins is still waiting for a liquor license to be approved.
