Cute schnauzer found on 15th Avenue and 78th Street in Brooklyn – his fur is well maintained so some owner must be worried sick about their missing dog.

Gersh Will Color in Your Licence Plate

Gersh Kuntzman is coloring in your license plate with a sharpe, if the paint is chipped. Many drivers are altering their license plates so red light cameras can’t ticket them.

/*/*]]>*/

In Bay Ridge, Gersh wanted to move the license plate on this Jeep that was parked on the same block of the 68th Precinct.

See the video:

Years ago, Gersh was the editor of the Brooklyn Paper. Now he’s the editor of Streetsblog NYC.

30% of Shore Hill Housing in Bay Ridge Will Be For Homeless Seniors

At the Community Board 10 Meeting, Jonathan Rose’s developers revealed that 30% of the new housing will be for homeless seniors.

The speaker acted like the developers were doing a good deed. (See video of the meeting here)

The information about the homeless receiving 30% of the apartments was not made when the developers initially spoke at the CB 10 meeting in Bay Ridge seven months ago.

The residents were blindsided by this – I felt terrible for the people who live on that block, who just heard this information.

**Councilman Justin Brannan should have told the community this in his newsletter. He is a terrible representative for our area.

Thankfully CB 10’s Zoning and Land Use denied the Shore Hill application! The vote was 7 to 1.

Vincent Gentile Spoke At CB 10 Meeting

Former Bay Ridge Councilman Vincent Gentile spoke at the CB 10 Meeting about the unrealistic parking reduction at Shore Hill.

Gentile is not only a great speaker, he came ready with the law to speak to the developers.

Then Gentile explained something that no one else has. This area becomes very busy because up to 50 seniors go to Shore Hill Center for lunch!

If you listen to Gentile at 55 minutes, you will understand why Justin Brannan is not a good representative for our area:

Applause for Gentile for standing up for his neighbors around Shore Hill and bringing his expertise to the area!

Supporters should be glad she Urooj received a lenient sentence. Instead, they don’t think it is fair (See here)

Precinct Says Crime Is Down. Brannan Repeats It. But is Crime Down in Bay Ridge?

When the Precinct announces that crime is down, we should hear Justin Brannan asking, “Which crimes are down? Which are up? Some areas the precinct is doing well, but some they are not!

Brannan should not be repeating the precinct when Compstat shows that the 68th Precinct are up for 2022. The 7 Major crimes are up 18.6% from last year.

A lot more people are getting assaulted in our community – it’s up 210% from last year!

The precinct may be looking at the last two weeks because there is an improvement in many areas.

Why isn’t Brannan using the data that the police provided rather than being a parrot? These are the assaults from last week – most are in the same area. Put an officer there.

Compstats can be found here.
