Christmas Spectacular on Tuesday Night – Expect Fireworks
Two years ago, we came upon one of the most amazing Christmas events in Bay Ridge!
We were riding on 4th Avenue and Santa pulled up with a sleigh to St. Patrick’s. When I saw it, I thought I was in a dream. I turned towards Lee and said, “I’ve never seen Santa pull up in a sleigh anywhere.”
It looked so magical to see children running up and gathering around Santa. It was during the pandemic, and everyone was supposed to be social distancing. But Santa brought some magic to 4th Avenue. The Santa event also has fireworks – normally I don’t love fireworks because dogs suffer, but everyone needed fireworks that year.
St. Patrick’s School has this magic happening after the concert on Tuesday evening. Fireworks are also happening so put some music on in your house if you have dogs.

There’s a man who sells tamales early in the morning at the Bay Parkway train station
On Saturday and Sundays, there are tamales at Santiago’s Deli 1723 Bath Avenue
Corner or 86th street and Bay Parkway- in front of Citibank
The corner of 85th at 18th Avenue – in front of CVS.
Next to the Avenue O train station
There is a Deli on the corner of Stillwell Avenue and 24th Avenue that sells tamales for $2.50 each on Saturday and Sunday. (Chicken verde, chicken mole and cheese & jalapeño flavors)

Learn How to Swim Class – Begins in January
On Wednesday evenings from January 11th to March 8th, children can learn how to swim through St. Pat’s program. The cost is $250.
This is an instructor led class.
This is a great Christmas gift!! By the Summer, the child will be ready to swim and enjoy the pool!
