Alec Brook-Krasny shared that he will be working on several committees in the NYS Assembly – aging, education and alcohol and substance abuse.
The big question Bay Ridge has is: Will Alec Brook-Krasny do something about property taxes?
Mathylde Frontus was a Democrat with a Democrat majority in the Assembly and she never made a move to help home owners in Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights. Mike Tannousis, like Brook-Krasny are Republicans in the minority, so this is not going to be an easy task.

Crooks Waved Guns on 77th Street & 16th Avenue and No One Told This Community
On Saturday, December 17th, masked crooks pointed guns at a man on 77th Street and 16th Avenue in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn around 4:50 am.

WPIX has the story here. These crooks seem to be hitting people in different boroughs after a night out.
What brought them to 77th Street in Dyker Heights? Knowing that may help the police figure out who they are.
Why didn’t politicians, the NYPD or journalists tell our community? A lot of people want to say crime is down and not tell us about incidents like this.
We have so many different ways to communicate, but not one person thought you and I deserved a heads up. On Monday, December 19th, Community Board 10 met online. Senator Gounardes, Assemblywoman Frontus and Councilman Brannan were all present. Not one said a word about this incident.

The Burnt Vehicle was Moved to a New Spot – Free Parking Included
Yesterday, I wrote about the burnt vehicle with the broken windows that had been left on 86th Street for over two weeks. Above, you can see the vehicle and the hitch behind it with the white sedan.
Today, this mess was towed to 16th Avenue and 81st Street t and placed in front of another Brooklynite’s house. This is just our of the 68th Street Precinct and into the 62nd Precinct:
Here’s the interesting part: The black SUV was driven to the new location. Behind the SUV was a TLC for the driver to jump in and split.
If you are a new reader here, you might think this would make the people in Dyker Heights happy.
The reality is that anyone, who is a decent person, knows no one in Brooklyn should have a burnt vehicle outside of their home.
The police tagged this car.
The vehicle should have been towed to Springfield Gardens (See here), not placed in another neighborhood.
This is why we need new leaders in this area of Brooklyn – actions like this are sneaky and not what any community should accept from a leader!

RIP Carlo Secondino – Father Killed in Brooklyn. Daughter Arrested
Carlo Secondino, a 61-year-old father was murdered this morning.
This morning, the news told us that two men entered the second-floor apartment of 8208 – 17 Avenue in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn and demanded money from a safe. (Source)
But they also said that the 62nd Precinct was investigating for a domestic dispute.
This evening, Carlo’s 22-year-old daughter, Nikki Secondino was arrested. (See here and here) It’s a very sad story.
Mike’s Diner, where Carlo Secondino did deliveries, had out white roses and Carlo’s picture. Carlo will be missed by many people.

Carlo’s 19-year-old daughter was stabbed multiple times and was taken to Maimonides Hospital in critical condition. (Source) When she gets out of the hospital, she is going to have to deal with her father’s death and her sister in jail. That’s a lot for anyone, especially a 19-year-old woman.
