No Bills Were Introduced Into the Senate for the Asian District

Iwen Chu told her community that an Asian representative was needed to protect the rights of Asians in Brooklyn.
The newly elected senator did not rent an office or introduce any legislation into the Senate. See website

There is no shortage of empty storefronts throughout the area.
Iwen should have been able to hit the ground running as she worked for Abbate for years. Yet, the new representative doesn’t seem to know how to get things done for the community.
Chu is the head of the library committee at the senate, so she is using the library for “mobile office hours.” What happens to the money the senate gives Iwen for renting an office for 12 months?

That’s how much Palestinian radical Waseem Awawdeh will be receiving for brutally assaulting an innocent Jew in 2021

January 12, 2023Commercial Vehicles Can Only Be Parked 3 Hours in a Residential Area in NYC AND Not Overnight

Senator Andrew Gounardes was on Fox News saying, “There is no place for these trucks to go.” (See video here)
That is completely incorrect. NYC can sell parking passes to their lot on the pier behind Industry City. In 2021, they stored freezer trucks with deceased New Yorkers, who died from Covid-19. (Info)
Gounardes is limited in solving problems for his community.
Instead of taking action, Gounardes and Brannan made a taskforce about illegally parked vehicles. A task force isn’t needed because the law already says commercial vehicles can’t be on streets for more than three hours.

Although the NYPD collected some large trucks, there were still a lot of hitches around the golf course this morning. While it was raining, one guy was screwing a license plate to a sedan sitting on the hitch.

January 12, 2023Assemblymember Brook-Krasny Mulling Over Staffer’s Past

The Daily News has a story about Assemblyman Brook-Krasny hiring a staffer who was at the Insurrection. Story here
If that staffer entered the Capitol, then they shouldn’t be on the Assemblyman’s staff. Everyone has the right to protest, but when people entered the building, they took it too far.
Interestingly, Assemblyman Brook-Krasny and his staff setup his offices and put his information online immediately.

January 12, 2023Dog Owners Ticketed Bay Ridge Baseball Field

The police were at Shore Road and 79th Street yesterday morning ticketing dogs on the baseball field.
Dog owners want their dogs to run on the soft field, but this is not a park for pets. It’s a baseball field for children and it’s not fair for kids to have to play in dog poop.
Our dogs are always on a leash. In NYC, dogs are only allowed off-leash at dog runs and parks which have listed off-leash hours.
We can’t take our dog to the park on Shore Road and the 90’s because there are always dogs off leash there – morning, afternoon and evening.
Loose dogs run up to our dogs and either kiss them or start a war. The dog’s owner is far behind, strolling the park sipping a latte.
A few years back, a dog bit my dog. I asked the owner if the dog was vaccinated for rabies (all dogs are required to be if they are in public.) The dog owner told me didn’t believe in vaccinations.
