Some Outdoor Eating Sheds Are Beautiful

Some businesses understand that the outdoor eating areas should look beautiful. This simple setup is black wood and stained wood posts with their name facing the street side.

I Love Bay Ridge shared this photo of Caffe Cafe’s and it’s so charming because it matches their storefront and they added flowers.

The Attic Cafe and Hookah Lounge

The Attic and Cafe Hookah Lounge opened in Bay Ridge at 6754 4th Avenue sometime awhile back. I didn’t think they opened because the front looks unfinished (but that’s the look of it).

Brannan Wants Ticket Fines Tied to Your Income

Justin Brannan received 16 tickets for speeding. (Source)

An elected official breaking the law should pay two times the ticket penalty when they are blatantly careless about the law. Just because we want to punish spoiled politicians, doesn’t mean that’s the law.

Brannan believes that if you are a business owner and you speed, then you should be charged more than a delivery man who speeds because he makes less money. (Story here)

Both men broke the law – they both get the same penalty.

It would be ridiculous for tickets to be tied to salary because some people know how to fudge their salary or they have special side deals.

Brannan doesn’t know what he is talking about because he plays both sides of the coin. See:

On Thursday, April 26th, Brannan wrote that fines are intended to deter crime and punish the offender. (See here)

But on April 23rd, Justin Brannan wrote this:

Ticket penalties can’t be tied to someone’s income. When did NYC become like this? When politicians, like Justin Brannan want to nickel and dime everyone!

If Brannan’s bill passes, progressives will want “the rich” to pay more for many things in including utilities, groceries, their homes and ;property taxes (oh yeah we already do that because the Democrats at the city and state level don’t think we should pay fair taxes).
