They need people to take a two-hour shift on Saturday or Sunday and welcome people to NBG on Shore Road.

May 24, 2023Go-Kart Festival – Soap Box Derby at Ft. Hamilton High School on June 11th
Oh this looks interesting! There is no sign up for this event.
Ft. Hamilton High School shared this: “On June 11th from 10:30 am- 1:30 pm. There’ll be go-kart action, a Fort Club Bazaar, food trucks, live music, and so much more! Mark your calendars…and join us for a day the kids are sure to remember!”
There will be a rock wall and a video gaming truck!

These Days clothing store opened on 3rd Avenue and 81st Street in December 2021. (See here)
It’s sad to see the For Rent sign on the store. The shop window said there were sales.

May 23, 2023Coffee Rx Hung a Sign on 3rd & 88th Street
Coffee RX currently has a small shop on 88th Street, but they are moving to the corner and will get a lot more traffic from 3rd Avenue!
Yesterday, they were renovating the shop:
The old green grocery story awning was pulled down and the place got a fresh look!
Coffee RX also has a shop on 3rd Avenue and 69th Street, as well as on 86th Street and 15th Avenue. They have great espresso!
Congratulations to the owners of Coffee Rx on their larger coffee shop!

May 23, 2023Low Flying Helicopter in Dyker Heights Today to Catch Man Impersonating NYPD Officer
This afternoon around 4:30 pm, the NYPD were searching for a man in Dyker Heights who was impersonating a police officer. The police were in the low 70’s on 13th to 15th Avenues.
A helicopter hoovered over the area because the man got out of his white Ford Taurus sedan with tinted windows and was running around the area.
The man was described as male, 6′ 2″, in his mid-30’s, with tattoos on his neck and hands. The man was wearing all black clothing.
The NYPD arrested a man who was hiding something in the bushes.
The Citizen App showed that the NYPD arrested the suspect, who was hiding in a UPS truck on 13th Avenue and 73rd Street. #GoNYPD

Falafel Star hung a sign at 7025 – 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge.
The windows and door are covered with paper as they set up.
The owner is from Bay Ridge! Congratulations to the new owner!
When I see a menu, I will share it here. So far I have heard they have good hummus and falafels.
Arbutz Cafe was in this location for a short time. (See here)
