Launch Trampoline Park will open at 531 – 86th Street in Bay Ridge in 2025. Opening day will be announced (here)
This entertainment center is similar to Urban Air or Dave and Busters. It is trampolines, laser tag, a battle pit and arcade.

February 21, 2024Some Justice For Justin Moncada – Murdered on 83rd Street in Dyker Heights
In 2021, Adam Thomas broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home on 83rd Street in Dyker Heights and shot through the door at Justin Moncada 16 times. Then he held a gun at Kilse Ogandl’s head. (See here)
Adam Thomas pled guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 18 years to life in prison. This in no way replaces Justin Moncada’s life, but at least it is something. (Story here)
RIP Justin. He was only 30 years old.

February 21, 2024Senator Gounardes is Not On The Smokeout Act to Get Rid of Illegal Cannabis Shops
At the Community Board meeting, Senator Andrew Gounardes acted as if he was against the illegal cannabis shops that have set up in Bay Ridge.
Andrew Gounardes is not on the bill to shut down the illegal smoke shops. (See the Bill) The bill was introduced into the NYS Senate in January, so Gounardes had plenty of time to sign on to it!
Why is Andrew Gounardes not on this bill? We think it is because there are no lobbyists pushing the SmokeOut Act.
Mayor Adams supports the Smokeout Act, but Andrew Gounardes was not present to back the bill with the mayor.

Last year, the 68th Precinct Captain announced that there were over 25 illegal shops in our area. That happened because Andrew Gounardes voted to legalize cannabis, without making sure that the background work was done.
Our community is stuck with these shops, Gounardes has not taken action! Who is happy about this? (See here)
How much have car accidents in our area increased since these shops set up in Bay Ridge? When marijuana was legalized, Senator Gounardes said that there was a saliva test for the police to give to drivers. There is no saliva test being used by the police in NYC to test for marijuana. A kind Ridgite shared that a grey and white pitbull with a collar was in Owl’s Head Park.
They weren’t able to capture the dog. Immediately, the pitbull’s owner headed to Owl’s Head and was reunited with Roy!
