River – Large White Dog Running – Dyker Heights
Keep your eyes open for this large white dog with brown fur on his face. His name is River and he got out accidently before noon. He’s from around 12th Avenue and the 70’s.

April 22, 2024Basement Apartments – Governor Hochul is Letting Community Board 10 Decide
Our state representatives are NOT good.
By now Andrew Gounardes, Mike Tannousis and Alec Brook-Krasny should have addressed Bay Ridge residents about the budget and the changes made to housing by Governor Hochul last week. Reporters say it’s a deal for developers. (See here)
Governor Hochul has legalized basement apartments throughout the state, but made a pilot program in some districts including community Board 10. (Info here) CB 10 will be able to adopt the new local law or oppose the inclusion of the community in the program!

This is big for Community Board 10, so they should have made a statement about this today as many residents are concerned about this. Instead, CB 10 left the community in the dark.
Community Board 10 has 90 days to respond. We don’t want them to say “oops” and let this go, like they did with the loading zones.

Rocco DiSpirito was at The Bookmark Shoppe in Bay Ridge!
Then ALC Italian Grocery shared that Rocco DiSpirito visited the store at 8613 – 3rd Avenue.
Dispirito is a chef and is best known for the reality television show, The Restaurant.
Finally, Rocco DiSpirito headed over to Brooklyn Roots, but it was closed. (See his video)
