This morning around 9:50 am, someone crashed this car on the corner of Senator and Ridge Blvd. They backed up and then they drove off. The person was driving a white Dodge sedan.

Adopt a Pet in Bay Ridge – Sunday 4/21
On Sunday, April 21st from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, My Natural Pet Shop at 8318 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge will have the Animal Care and Control Mobile Adoption truck outside their store for Ridgites to easily adopt cats and dogs.
“The adoptions include vaccinations, spay/neuter, a pre-registered microchip, an identification tag, a collar and a certificate for a free initial exam at a participating veterinarian. (If you don’t have a vet, Dr. Salvatore Pernice at Brooklyn Veteinery Group New Utrecht is fantastic and was a participating veternarian when I adopted from ACC two years ago)
One family at a time (max two people per family) will be allowed on the Mobile Adoption Center for five minutes per family. When you are on the pet adoption bus, the right pet will be obvious. When we went on it, we called friends to adopt because we saw the right pet for them.

PLEASE ADOPT ALL THE ANIMALS – ACC IS A KILL SHELTER. In 2019, while Councilman Justin Brannan was the head of NYC Council’s Contracts when a 34-year contract was made between NYC and ACC. (Info) Brannan didn’t make any social media posts against this deal or write any articles to let people know.

Cafe Seating is Coming to Milk and Honey
Milk and Honey Coffee Shop recently opened on 3rd Avenue and 94th Street in Bay Ridge.
The pink cafe always looks busy because all of the tables inside the cafe have people at them. Today, they were building an area for outside eating, which will be nice for Ridgites to enjoy al fresca dining in the Spring and Summer!

Fatta Mano Restaurant in Bay Ridge Closed
The windows and door of Fatta Mano were covered with paper. The Italian Halal Restaurant on 3rd Avenue and 85th Street quietly closed.
When Fatta Mano opened, we learned that the name meant ‘made by hand’ or homemade.
The Elenani’s own the Ayat Restaurant across the street from Fatta Mano. Ayat’s popularity has spread and now there are five Ayat Restaurant’s in NYC.
For Bay Ridge, this is another closed storefront on 3rd Avenue. We’ll miss their beautiful flowers on the corner of 85th Street.
Before this was Fatta Mano, it was a grocery store called Falahi Farms (See here), before that it was Bagel Story (See here). For many years that corner had Sally’s Coffee Shop. (See here)

Chewy is back home with his family in Bay Ridge. The family told me that they found him in the early morning sitting on a tree.

If you like oysters, Bay Ridge Fishbar has Oyster Day specials on Friday.
Bay Ridge Fishbar is at 7608 3rd Avenue. We don’t eat oysters, but their fish is very good and fresh!
