July 8, 2024RIP Maurice Freeman
Early this morning, Maurice Freeman was stabbed in the groin multiple times at Cropsey Park. (News)
This part is sad: “Freeman argued with his girlfriend on the street outside the building, according to neighbors. They were out here smoking, drinking and fighting said a 44-year-old neighbor who asked not to be named. They were raising a ruckus at about 3 in the morning.” (Source)
Maurice Freeman walked to the vestibule of his brother’s building, Shore Haven Apartments, on 21st Avenue in Bath Beach and collapsed.
Maurice Freeman was taken to NYU Langone Hospital and died at the hospital. The news shared that he was only was only 30 years old .
Maurice was visiting Brooklyn since Friday. This was the first time his brother met Maurice’s girlfriend. Maurice was from Pennsylvania. (Source)
The killer has not been caught so he/she can do this to another person.

July 8, 2024Tanya’s Cleaning Up Brooklyn And She Wants You To Help on July 21st
Tanya is have a cleanup on Sunday, July 21st at 11:00 am. The area to be cleaned is the pathway from Caesar’s Bay to the Verrazano Bridge.
Something amazing: Tanya is a 12-year-old Brooklynite. She saw a problem and is taking charge! The first cleanup Tanya organized in June was at Coney Island Beach! Amazing!
Tanya and her team are bringing black bags, white bags, claws and containers for the cleanup.
If you are there are 11:00 am, they are meeting at the entrance outside the parking lot, where the ice cream truck that idles for hours. Many adults have complained about how dirty the bike path is this Summer, so this is an area that needs help!
It’s fine if you come after 11:00 am too!

July 8, 2024Rats Are Fleeing From 86th Street Homeless Shelter Location To Neighboring Homes
Councilwoman Susan Zhuang and Brooklynites protested the shelter. Zhung stated that the developers for 2501 – 86th Street have committed safety violations. She is worried about the seniors and children that walk by that location.
Residents in nearby homes must be upset seeing rats near their homes.
Zhuang shared these documents showing how the developer must protect the neighboring properties.

Some residents in Brooklyn received a warning about electricity use today from 2:00 – 10:00 pm from Con Edison.
How does NYC Council expect to add more gas stoves and electric cars this area?
Politicians want to add more housing, but they are too lazy to do the work on making sure the area is receiving utilities for the existing buildings.
