Cappuccino Cafe’s New Look on 3rd Avenue
When I saw the bright yellow storefront, I smiled because the sunny color is beautiful.
Then I realized it was Cappuccino Cafe that was getting a makeover.
Lee and I went to Cappuccino Cafe on our first date. We didn’t live in Bay Ridge at the time, but we walked on the Shore Road Bike Path and then went to Cappuccino Cafe because it was my favorite place in Bay Ridge back then.
We look forward to seeing the freshly renovated Cappuccino Cafe! It’s a lucky place for us no matter what color it is!

Andrew Gounardes Played on Social Media With Socialists & Called for Eric Adams to Step Down
Andrew Gounardes loves to post messages on X (previously known ass Twitter) calling out his Republican enemies. This week Andrew Gounardes and the socialists called for Mayor Eric Adam to step down.
The NY Post wrote a story about how Andrew Gounardes worked for Eric Adams as his attorney for years. (NY Post) Someone on Team Adams called Gounardes a hypocrite.
Gounardes knew Adams took trips when he was the Brooklyn Borough President and Andrew Gounardes still endorsed Adams for Mayor.
Over the Summer, Andrew Gounardes and Justin Brannan threw a fundraiser for Democratic Socialist, Brad Lander, who is running for mayor.

Shahnez Missaoui – Missing Teen from Brooklyn
Shahnez Missaoui is fourteen years old and she has been missing since Friday, September 20, 2024. Why is today the first day we are hearing about her being missing.
Shahnez was last seen on 9/20/24 around 8:30pm at 2860 Brighton 3rd Street. She was wearing a black essential sweater with grey pajamas and black Jordan sneakers.
Shahnez’s friends must know where she is because none of them are posting messages on social media.

Shore Road Hair Styling in Bay Ridge Closed

Today was Shore Road Hair Styling at 9415 – 3rd Avenue last day open for business. Joe has been cutting hair here for 43 years!
The two well-loved iconic barbers, Joe and Dennis will be cutting hair in two separate locations, but both are still in the area!
Joe will be working at then barber shop at 384 – 95th Street (off 4th Avenue) on the weekends.
Dennis will be at The Fade Factory at 9409 – 3rd Avenue on Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Why do people love Joe and Dennis? Because they give good haircuts that look good from from the first day they are given!

Join Councilwoman Zhuang on 9/29 to Clean 61st and 62nd Streets – Ft. Hamilton to 12th Ave.
Councilwoman Zhuang is having a cleanup on 61st and 62nd Street on Sunday, September 29th. From, the flyer, you can she that she will be returning to the same streets in October and November. People have been dumping on these streets for decades. (Sign up here)
Some cameras should be placed on those street to deter dumpering.

The Ragamuffin Parade Is Happening Today
The Ragamuffin Parade is still on for today, Saturday, September 28, 2024 – it’s rain or shine.
While less people may attend because the weather is not idea, that means those who attend in costumes have a higher chance of winning the bikes! Go have a great time!

Rigites Hate Rite Aid for Leaving Shelves Empty – They Praise Mom & Pop Pharmacies
The shelves in the Rite Aid stores in the area are still bare, even though Rite Aid said the bankruptcy proceeding is over and stores were going to be stocked again. Ridgites noticed Rite Aid is restocking the beer, soda and chips, like a convenience store.
Rigites are disgusted with Rite Aid. But residents have found well-stocked Mom and Pop pharmacies in the area are the solution. These smaller drug stores have everything and the prices are comparable, if not better on some things.
Ridgites raved about:
a) Nile Ridge Pharmacy at 6922 4th Avenue because the store has everything they need and the owners are helpful.
b) Bay Ridge RX at 6910 – 3rd Avenue – very clean
c) Regency Pharmacy at 7115 3rd Avenue – they deliver prescriptions
d) Teba Pharmacy at 7618 – 5th Avenue
e) Pill Rx at 9701 3rd Avenue (where Pippin’s Pub used to be)

Justin Brannan Commented on Eric Adams’ Indictment on Facebook, So Adams Didn’t See It
Senator Andrew Gounardes rushed to put out a statement telling Mayor Eric Adams to step down because he wanted to be cool with the other socialist politicians.
Justin Brannan also wanted to play with them. But Brannan knew if he put the statement on Twitter both the Mayor and the head of the Brooklyn Democratic Party would chastise him and not support him when he runs for Comptroller. So Brannan put the statement on Facebook to hide it.
The editor of City and State didn’t know that Brannan issued a statement:
