$4,000 Fine for Dumping in Gravesend, Brooklyn
Got to get rid of a sink? Treadmill parts? Wood planks?
— NYC Sanitation (@NYCSanitation) November 8, 2024
Don’t find what you think is a secluded street and dump it like these two did by Gravesend, @JustinBrannan’s district.
Our camera caught them – the car was impounded & they got a $4000 summons.

November 8, 2024Senator Gounades Posted on Social Media, But Doesn’t Say He is in Puerto Rico at Somos

The election ended and the Democrats headed to Puerto Rico for Somos.
Andrew Gounardes and Justin Brannan had huge losses this election season as Chris McCreight and Iwen Chu lost their elections.
Gounardes was just in Greece at the end of August (Source) so he didn’t need another vacation. While away, Gounardes used social media to make a dumb tweet. (See here)
This time, Gounardes has a dumb tweet about Congestion Pricing. Maybe there were lobbyists at Somos pulling Gounardes’ strings to make this social media post!

Andrew Gounardes didn’t take the time to comprehend what a huge loss happened in the area area around him. He doesn’t understand how anti-Congestion Pricing activists helped flip seats in Brooklyn because they are sick of Democrats pushing another tax on people.
Brannan and Gounardes have gone to Somos many times, but both have failed to take action for Puerto Rico. There is no reason to go every year. Gounardes represents a large Puerto Rican population in Sunset Park and doesn’t take action for them here – even just in keeping their community clean!
How is this vacation paid for? Politicians pay from their campaign accounts where they received donations. Since they have received matching funds from tax dollars, for the past few years, our tax dollars are paying for this vacation! Speak up NYC!
Senator Gounardes continued to post on social media, but failed to say he was in San Juan at Somos because he is inauthentic and he knows the people don’t want NYC politicians hanging out with lobbyists in San Juan!

November 8, 2024NYC Youth Can Take Part in This on 11/14

The NYC Civilian Complaint Review Board is inviting all young New Yorkers to join us for our 2024 Speak Up Speak Out Youth Summit next Thursday, November 14th at 5:30pm.
This event will be hybrid, held online via WebEx and held in person at 100B W 131st Street, New York NY 10027. Doors open at 5:00pm.
While it’s a good outlet to find out where police are not serving NYC communities, it could also be a great time for some young people to speak out in favor of the police – especially for the 68th Precinct! The people running the event would be if that happened!
