With Only One Poor Working Subway in Bay Ridge, Parking Mandates Shouldn’t Be Reduced

Parking mandates were added to NYC when someone realized there were too many cars and not enough parking. New development were required to have so many parking spots so that the neighborhood was not overwhelmed.

In the City of Yes: parking mandates will be eliminated in the sections where it is red, mandates will be “significantly” reduced in our area and where it is yellow on the map. Parking mandates will be preserved in the blue sections. Our area should have remained blue, but we have a terrible city councilman. *(See video)

Do you notice the small area in blue on Shore Road in the 60’s and some places in Dyker Heights? Those places will have parking. I wonder why.

NYC Council’s chart showing that parking mandates won’t apply to some housing types:

59th Street Station in Sunset Park

We look away when we see people like this. But we shouldn’t.

More help is needed in the subways. These people at the 59th Street station are someone’s family members and they probably don’t know they aren’t doing well.

Tashia Holmes is missing in NYC – she has been seen on the train. (Info) NYC should check each station and assist all the people in the subway station or those riding the R train non-stop.
