Andrew Gounardes Calls Transportation Alternatives Neighbors

Andrew Gounardes posted the photos below on Facebook, Instagram and X. He referred to the people in the photos as “neighbors.

The woman in the back center with the black shirt and black and yellow shorts is Kathy Price, an employee of Transportation Alternatives.

Transalt Alt is a group that is against cars. The Transalt employee identified her photos better than Gounardes did:

She also mentioned that the actor, Peter Sarsgaard is at this meetup. Why did Andrew Gounardes leave him out?

Update: Peter Sarsguard is married to Maggie Dyllenhaal and their daughter was just arrested at the Columbia University protests.

I don’t know how many of these people are employees from Trans Alt. One woman is on her phone in most of the pics.

Watch the last video where Andrew Gounardes bites his nails and listens to them talk about them wanting more red light cameras:

Andrew Gounardes should have been transparent and named the group. Gounardes did not correct any of the social media because he doesn’t want Brooklyn neighbors to know who is pulling the strings.

When 48-year-old Aihong Qu was killed on 7th Avenue in Bay Ridge, Trans Alt didn’t do anything. They didn’t call for changes to the street or even hold a memorial. Andrew Gounardes and Justin Brannan were silent.

When Community Board 10 held a meeting about car sharing, CB 10 had only from one car-sharing company present -> Get Around Cars. When CB 10 members asked why there was only one company presenting, Senator Andrew Gounardes did not name his association with the group. Gounardes’ mother served on CB 10 at the time.

This year, Community Board 10 allowed Rose, an employee of Trans Alt to speak at the CB 10 meetings. The same woman did a walk with the Bay Ridge Environmental Group to talk about safety. When they got to Senator Street and 4th Avenue, Rose did not know the name of the woman who was killed on that Avenue – it just wasn’t important to her because she doesn’t live here. Info:

Bay Ridge, when you see plans for 4th Avenue – don’t be fooled by them because no one has made 4th Avenue greener in the last 15 years. We haven’t seen any environmental group even put plants along that avenue!

* Did Andrew Gounardes think joining a SuperPac with the Coney Island Casino to help Justin Brannan win an election was just Gounardes being with “his neighbors?” You can see Andrew’s money on line four here (the Casino is on the 2nd page – line 4):

The Adrienne on the line above Andrew’s name is Adrienne Adams.

Outside of PS 503 on 60th Street & 3rd Avenue

The parents of students at PS 503/506 on 60th Street and 3rd Avenue are concerned about what is happening outside of the school. This will be discussed at the May 14th CEC Meeting.

Homeless people are sleeping near the school entrance or where the children have recess (probably because they feel safe there). Parents said that the drunk homeless people are arguing with each other outside of the school.

When families are walking to the school, they are seeing people in need of help, needles on the ground and urine or human feces.

Some have filed complaints with 311, but haven’t seen any improvements.

Public Advocate, Jumaane Williams is in the Newspaper

The Public Advocate is the next person in line to be the mayor.

Jumaane Williams is in the newspaper today. See story:

https://nypost.com/2025/05/04/us-news/nyc-public-advocate-jumaane-williams-loses-brooklyn-home-to-bank-after-racking-up-nearly-1m-in-mortgage-debt

The article states that Jumaane Williams stopped making the $1,344 monthly mortgage payments on a two-family since 2010. Williams earns $184,800 a year as the NYC Public Advocate.

The Public Advocate’s job is to speak for the people. Lee contacted Williams by mail when he became Public Advocate. Williams has a staff of about 50 people and his office did not respond. Months later, I messaged Williams on Twitter about not receiving a response. Jumaane had a staffer email Lee that the Public Advocate would be looking into it. Years have passed and Jumaane never followed up.

The Public Advocate publishes this list each year:

You can see the list here:

https://www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news/nyc-worst-landlord-list-2024

Jumaane Williams also ran for governor of NYS.

The Bay Ridge Democrats have endorsed Jumaane Williams for the upcoming election.

Jumaane Williams has lived on the Fort Hamilton Army Base for years. Has anyone from the Bay Ridge Democrats seen him at events in Bay Ridge? Years ago, we saw Jumaane walk in the Memorial Day parade. – but that’s it.

How Come There is No Saturday Night Hoops with the NYPD for Bay Ridge Teens?

The officers from the 68th Precinct loves playing with the younger children in the park on Shore Road. The 68th Precinct also has a baseball league for children:

Each year, the NYPD has Saturday Night Lights and the city is covered with locations for teens to play basketball with police officers.

Yet, our community, Homecrest and Sheepshead Bay do not have any locations for teens to play basketball at night with police officers.

New Utrecht High School and FDR high school are on the map without a basketball because they are not open locations. See map:

https://nypd.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=0598468e4d4f4246a05d60c18f185248

Are the NYPD officers in this area not into basketball or is it as simple as they don’t have a place to play basketball with teens in the evening?
