Fantastic Bagel closed by the Department of Health. If you can’t figure out where this bagel shop is, it’s next to Pho Hoai on 4th Avenue between 86th Street and 87th Street. It’s 3 stores away from 86th Street Noodle.

There’s nothing like a song playing on the radio to stop and make you think of someone.

Le’Jemalik Salon -Gorgeous Updos and Makeup at New Bay Ridge Salon

Gorgeous updos for weddings, Sweet Sixteen parties and proms. I saw these on Facebook and I thought, WOW that’s beautiful!

They specialize in hair and makeup for Muslim women, but any women can go (the owner wrote that on Facebook and you can see in the Yelp reviews – see here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/le-jemalik-brooklyn that everyone isn’t wearing a hijab). It looks like a beautiful salon.
The woman who owns the salon is a mother of three and it was her dream to open this salon. I love that! The makeup shown on their site looks like the beautiful special occasion makeup on Pinterest so check them out. She’s offering a special price for prom hair and makeup as well.

Marty Golden Endorsed the Wrong Staff Member – John Quaglione

In March, Dan Donovan endorsed Liam McCabe. At the time the Brooklyn Republicans said they would not endorse a candidate until after the primary election. This week, Marty Golden endorsed John Quaglione. Why? What’s the story behind the endorsement?

Several years ago, I contacted Marty Golden and had to deal with John Quaglione. He was disorganized, didn’t follow up on the situation and didn’t seem to care. After months of dealing with Quaglione and his nonsense, nothing was done to help our situation. Marty Golden, as the elected should have contacted us, but he didn’t. Marty cares about Marty and that’s it. We contacted several other offices in Brooklyn and we were able to receive help pretty fast.

Recently, I looked at Quaglione social media – Facebook and Twitter feed to see if it was any different – no, it’s just the same old picture-taking politician.

Other than taking pictures of himself with the usual people, John likes to make graffiti artists famous in Brooklyn. There is no reason to post pictures of graffiti – just report it and move on. Marty Golden has a better staff member named Marco who actually goes out and sprays over graffiti.

Recently, Quaglione took pictures of weeds. Marty Golden can easily purchase a grass trimmer and hire some teens to take care of this. Instead Quaglione takes a picture of it and thinks that makes him productive.

John Quaglione isn’t right for NYC Council. His perception of the job is that the Councilman should call out people on social media. He sees Golden take a lot of pictures and does the same thing. Our newspapers get full of nonsense because of silly press releases.
Quaglione doesn’t realize that residents need help not more photos of him!

Quaglione does not support public education and has thrown his back behind a group that wastes their money on ads to try to seize money from public schools. The group is called InvestinEd and they want to give “scholarships” to Catholic schools. Here’s Quaglione retweeting them:

If Golden was going to endorse a candidate, he should have endorsed someone who worked hard and was serious – like Marco. No one is fooled by his cheesy endorsement of Quaglione.
Has Marty actually listened to Quaglione speak?

Nicole Malliotakis – Six Years on the Job, Yet 59% of Staten Islanders Haven’t Heard Enough About Her

Malliotakis has been an Assemblywoman in Staten Island and Brooklyn for six years, yet 59% of Staten Island residents said haven’t heard enough about her to say whether their opinion of her was favorable or not.
Nicole thinks taking pictures and loading the papers with press releases would make her well known. It didn’t.

Levi Aaron’s Brother Found Dead
466 East 2nd Street – that’s the House of Horror for a little boy named Leiby Kletzky who was butchered to death by a Levi Aaron.

Aaron is serving 40 years to life.

Today Tzvi Aron, Levi Aron’s brother 29 year old brother was found dead in the basement of the home (another story says closet). Tzvi Aron was a bakery worker and he had been missing since Tuesday. They know it’s not a suicide because his body was wrapped in a sheet and duct taped. Another brother found his body. It’s being investigated as a homicide. Story here. Police outside home. Go Play the Piano On Shore Road

From June 5th to June 25th, the piano above will be in Shore Road Park – 90th Street and Shore Road.
This Sing for Hope piano is there for anyone to play. Afterwards it is donated some place in the community for people to enjoy,
Update: The last concert couldn’t be held because the piano got soaked from the rain. I don’t think it got purposely vandalized. The cover may have been taken off by someone accidentally. There is a camera on the gazebo so that would have captured someone vandalizing the piano.

This piano is by the Flagpole in Sunset Park. This piano was removed because it was vandalized in mid-June.

Last year it was there and it was a lot of fun!
