Marty Golden Endorsed the Wrong Staff Member – John Quaglione
In March, Dan Donovan endorsed Liam McCabe. At the time the Brooklyn Republicans said they would not endorse a candidate until after the primary election. This week, Marty Golden endorsed John Quaglione. Why? What’s the story behind the endorsement?
Several years ago, I contacted Marty Golden and had to deal with John Quaglione. He was disorganized, didn’t follow up on the situation and didn’t seem to care. After months of dealing with Quaglione and his nonsense, nothing was done to help our situation. Marty Golden, as the elected should have contacted us, but he didn’t. Marty cares about Marty and that’s it. We contacted several other offices in Brooklyn and we were able to receive help pretty fast.
Recently, I looked at Quaglione social media – Facebook and Twitter feed to see if it was any different – no, it’s just the same old picture-taking politician.
Other than taking pictures of himself with the usual people, John likes to make graffiti artists famous in Brooklyn. There is no reason to post pictures of graffiti – just report it and move on. Marty Golden has a better staff member named Marco who actually goes out and sprays over graffiti.
Recently, Quaglione took pictures of weeds. Marty Golden can easily purchase a grass trimmer and hire some teens to take care of this. Instead Quaglione takes a picture of it and thinks that makes him productive.
John Quaglione isn’t right for NYC Council. His perception of the job is that the Councilman should call out people on social media. He sees Golden take a lot of pictures and does the same thing. Our newspapers get full of nonsense because of silly press releases.
Quaglione doesn’t realize that residents need help not more photos of him!
Quaglione does not support public education and has thrown his back behind a group that wastes their money on ads to try to seize money from public schools. The group is called InvestinEd and they want to give “scholarships” to Catholic schools. Here’s Quaglione retweeting them:
If Golden was going to endorse a candidate, he should have endorsed someone who worked hard and was serious – like Marco. No one is fooled by his cheesy endorsement of Quaglione.
Has Marty actually listened to Quaglione speak?
