July 19, 2017RIP Mary Joyce Bonsignore
Sad news…..Mary Joyce Bonsignore’s passed on. Her body was found today – July 25th on a roof on a building near her home in Brooklyn. Surveillance cameras captured Mary Joyce slipping on her front stoop, another surveillance camera captured her at 19th Avenue and Cropsey. Police believe Bonsignore had been on the rooftop since she went missing. Mary Grace may have entered the building believing it was her home and then got locked on the roof.

July 17, 2017Two People Attempted to Jump from the Verrazano Bridge
Yesterday around 5 pm, a man attempted to jump from the Verrazano Bridge. Emergency responders prevented him from jumping – thank God. Story: here
Last Thursday, a woman attempted to jump and she was stopped by a tow truck driver named Bryant Cancela. Cancela was very kind and helped the woman down from the ledge. Thank God for a hero to save the day! Story here

The local paper featured an inspiring story about a Muslim woman named Sherihan Moustafa who created her own clothing line called Urban Modesty. Moustafa said she created the line because she was frustrated with trying to put together a fashionable and modest outfirt from various pieces. The article is entitled: “Cover girls: Ridge designer makes demure clothes for Muslim women”
Urban Modesty has dresses in a lot of different patterns that most Muslims don’t wear. The materials used for the hijabs and dresses is modern and feminine. The gowns that women wear to weddings and for special occasions are not only beautiful, but also affordable.
