November 7, 2018Results of Senate Election in Bay Ridge
Update: Today, November 7th, Kadia Goba reported that there are 1,433 absentee ballots that haven’t been counted. The Board of Elections accept ballots for 6 more days. Andrew Gounardes is leading with 1129 votes with 95% of scanners reported.
On November 14th – paper count of uncounted ballots.
On November 16th – machine audit
Radio Free Bay Ridge showed a shutdown office:

There are a lot of happy people in the pictures below.
The Brooklyn Eagle which is very favorable towards Golden reported that Golden had conceded.
Marty Golden wrote it’s not over yet and posted a video at the Bay Ridge Manor that there were votes to be counted. (Absentee ballots?)
Julianne McShane said Michael Tobman said Marty was not conceding because all votes weren’t counted. When 100% votes were counted, Julianne checked again and it was reported that Marty’s spokesperson said Marty was not conceding.

There are more ballots to count and no one conceded in this election. (See video)
Some publications, like the Brooklyn Eagle (where Golden’s friends work) reported Marty conceded – the video shows he did not.
Journalist Julianne McShane spoke to Michael Tobman who said Marty was not conceding because votes hadn’t been counted. (See here)

November 6, 2018Was Marty Golden Electioneering?
A Bay Ridge resident made this meme. Residents complained about Golden being at other polling sites.
The first shared incident was at PS 185 in Bay Ridge – See this whole thread
Then Golden was photographed at McKinley Junior High School wearing his Senator Golden jacket and a sticker that says he voted.
Even Marine Park residents called Golden out for being at their election site.
In 2017, we found out from Kadia Goba that Golden was in other polling sites and that is illegal apparently.

What did Jerry Kassar share on social media the day before the election? K assar is a leader of the NY Conservative Party so he should be doing something important.
Jerry shared pictures of him playing with Rose and Gounardes handouts. Maybe he should be making some calls to people to ask them to vote for his boss instead.

Update: This was the worst congressman Bay Ridge has had.
Congressman Max Rose……that sounds great. Max Rose will be a good Congressman because he wants people in our district to do well.
Dan Donovan lost because he didn’t want to be a Congressman any longer. Dan didn’t want to hold townhalls or make a pot of coffee and hear the problems that Bay Ridge residents….on important things like healthcare.
Thank you to Fight Back Bay Ridge for continuously pointing out when Dan Donovan wasn’t working for us, especially in the area (but so many other areas too). Your protests brought so much attention to the problems and that Dan Donovan was dodging us. Your group people interested in the election and believing we could win back that seat. Congratulations!
Congratulations to the Bay Ridge Democrats – Max Rose’s home base in Brooklyn. Councilman Brannan’s team is winning!!

Adam Baumel – we love that you ran in Bay Ridge to represent people. Your race was about our community.
I was impressed that you didn’t go negative at any point, but that you pointed out problems and told Nicole Malliotakis outright about them. Also Team Baumel was good too!(Sometimes candidates teams are awful – like this)
Adam, you had the support and respect of many well known Democrats because you were a great candidate for the people. Don’t go anywhere….another election will be here in no time. Hopefully Nicole Malliotakis moves on and does what interests her.
