Corey Johnson Plays the Survey Game

Over the years, politicians have played the survey game hard in Bay Ridge. It goes like this:

Politician without a solution to a problem puts together a survey to make the public think  he/she  is concerned with how they think/feel on the issues.

Said politician disburses the survey to the public.

The public answers the survey because they hope their thoughts/feelings matter.

The politician totals the survey, let’s out a huge sigh and shares the results as if he/she feels the same way.

Bay Ridge has had it’s fair share of surveys.Usually it’s the Republicans playing the survey game to waste time. There was the one for the Verrazzano Bridge from Marty Golden and Nicole Malliotakis….then when those two thought you forgot about the survey, they brought it back for a second round.

The end game –> NOTHING GETS DONE, BUT THE POLITICIAN FOOLS YOU INTO THINKING SOMETHING IS HAPPENING AND THAT HE CARES.

We voted for Justin Brannan because he understands the issues in this neighborhood, but apparently Corey Johnson can’t hear Brannan so it’s time to waste time on a survey!

Today,  Corey Johnson was at a train station in Bay Ridge giving out papers about the MTA survey. Corey said, “We’re going to get a great response.”  See here.   He didn’t say he was going to do a thing after that….he’s just hearing you. UGHHHH

Corey Johnson played politics in our backyard before. Although he doesn’t know the problems in the subways here, Johnsn made a terrible endorsement with some other machine politicians in South Brooklyn for a man and wouldn’t remove it when asked. The people voted for the right person  – a very qualified woman.

Camp Expo in Brooklyn – January 13, 2019

It’s not too early to start thinking about Summer Camp. Plus many camps offer early bird deals and discounts for registering early. Some camps like, Poly Prep’s in Bay Ridge will be full by the time May gets here…so register early!

This is your chance to hear from a lot of camps and collect information/ask questions to newer camps!

Paula Katinas Wrote About Identity Politics and Nicole Malliotakis

Paula Katinas wrote another article about Nicole Malliotakis. We can’t figure out why she keeps writing about Nicole when there is so many other things going on!

Katinas quoted Malliotakis as saying: “I’ve never played identity politics in my political career, whether it’s running for the Assembly, or when I ran for mayor. I’ve never said ‘Vote for me because I’m a woman.”

REALLY?!  Who tweeted this?

Oh poor Nicole – she thought she was going to beat Mayor de Blasio.

Identity politics is usually a Democrat thing, but Malliotakis mingles with it as well; she just won’t admit she does. A snarky tweet doesn’t hide the truth either.

Paula Katinas wrote about Assemblywoman Malliotakis talking about how few women there are in the Republican Party.

Malliotakis claimed she would support female Republican candidates. Clearly she doesn’t as we checked to see how Malliotakis spent her money.

While Nicole Malliotakis threw her arms up with Marty Golden and Steve Saperstein. Her campaign gave Saperstein’s $500.00.

Steve Saperstein took money from a developer, so people here quickly lost interest in him.

Nicole Malliotakis wasn’t bothered that  Saperstein took money from a developer (Ironically, Paula Katinas left  out that Saperstein had received money from a developer, even when she was at the debate where the shocking news was revealed.  See here).

Malliotakis took money from this group for her campaign:

I don’t know this company from Hoboken, but a search on Google shows this:

Did Malliotakis contribute money from her campaign to any females in the Republican Party?

Campaign finance shows Nicole Malliotakis contributed to the failed campaigns of two Republican males – Saperstein and Ray Walter….. woman (both Democrats) won both those elections though!

Fairytale Island’s Window Broken Again

Fairytale Island is a play center at 7110 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge. Kids love going there.

Today Fairytale Island was closed because a window was broken (again) and they had a lot of cleaning to do.

This is the second or third time that their window has been broken. Maybe it’s time for them to get a gate to put down at night. It’s sad to see them have to lose business because someone was angry.
