Rimas Star Fashions Opened on 5th Avenue

Rimas Star opened at 6752 5th Avenue.  A corner deli/grocery used to be here – it closed quietly.

It sells clothing and a lot of special occasion dresses for weddings (both the bride, bridesmaids and guests) or proms.

Beautiful fabrics and beading work!

Congratulations to the new owners on their beautiful store.

The Daily News Reported About Eric Adams

Eric Adams just doesn’t get it.

In a city where there are homeless people sleeping on the street, Eric Adams needs a paper about him.

The Daily News reported that Eric Adams has spent nearly $503,000 in taxpayer funds to mail our a newspaper about him since 2014.  See here

Does he realize how many people that could have provided housing to?

Jerry Kassar’s Write Up This Week

Jerry Kassar, head of the NY Conservative Party, wrote something strange in the paper this week!

Cuomo is trying to get rid of fusion voting (this would take power from the Working Families party and Jerry Kassar’s Conservative Party).

Kassar wrote: “The Democratic effort reduces political choice and, as an extension, free speech.”

THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT THE PLACEHOLDER CANDIDATE DID TO OUR COMMUNITY. (See here)

Ramy is Filming at Tanoreen on 12/16

On Monday December 16 2019, Ramy is filming at Tanoreen at 7523 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge.  They are filming  an Egyptian wedding.

Ramy is a comedy show on Hulu. It’s about an Egyptian-American man practicing Islam in NJ. Reviews criticize the role of Muslim women in the show (see here)

Parking requests were made the filming company’s vehicles for 3rd Avenue between 72nd and 76th Streets.

Tanoreen is getting a lot of action this week. Last week, Mayor de Blasio had a hush-hush dinner with Councilman Brannan there

Shoutout to Super Roofer and Skinflints

Today, our neighbor Bill Boshell, owner of Super Roofer and Skinflints are bringing an amazing Santa experience to Bay Ridge.

Last year, I was on the Avenue when Santa pulled up in a sleigh outside of Skinflints. I was in awe for five minutes and then called everyone in my phone to come to Skinflints and get their picture taking with Santa.

It’s an amazing event to hold for this neighborhood (this event happening today is also fantastic)

Merry Christmas Wicked Monk

I have loved The Wicked Monk since it was on 5th Avenue decades ago! Love their windows!

This evening while we were at The Monk, someone from the Bay Ridge Dems asked me if I was the Queen.  LOL….not everyone in the Bay Ridge Dems is happy about the Socialist infiltration.

Albanese and Brannan Twitter Tango 2

Albanese didn’t intend to have a discussion with Brannan – he was just discussing how the Citizen App shows incidents with guns.

Then a resident mentioned that Brannan told residents not to believe the hyped-up stories on the Citizen App because many are false. I have been at two locations in Bay Ridge where Citizen App users stretched the truth and far less was going on, than was being reported. Real posts on Citizen have pictures or videos.  In reply to Albanese, Justin shared a link to his article.

Then Albanese challenged Brannan to a debate. See tweets here

Councilman Brannan offered to go to dinner with Sal….to silence him.

Albanese reiterated his desire to debate on the topic of policing!   Twitter tango #1 happened last month when Sal Albanese told Justin to do his job – see here

Last February, Albanese told Brannan he failed to help the home owners in his district – Brannan didn’t deny failing, but he said he tried.  See here    Albanese no longer lives in Bay Ridge, but his family/friends are because he is on top of what’s going on here.

12/17: Today Bob Capano wrote about the Tweet battle – see here
