What Paula Katinas Won’t Tell You About Mark Treyger

Paula Katinas from the Brooklyn Home Reporter recently wrote about Alex Brook-Krasny making a comeback and running for the City Council seat that Treyer is term-limited out of.

Katinas wrote: “Treyger is the Democratic Party’s district leader in the 46th A.D. and will play an important role in the process of selecting a candidate to succeed him in the Council.”

No.  That isn’t correct.

Treyger was the District Leader when Mathylde Frontus ran. Treyger put up his guy, Ethan and the people voted for Mathylde.

Treyger’s backing of Pam Harris, even when Harris admitted her guilt to newspaper weakened Treyger in Brooklyn.  People realized he wasn’t for our community, but rather himself.

Paula Katinas saw all this happen with Pam Harris and the people electing Mathylde Frontus. Why didn’t she write about that?

These are fighting words.

Is this over the birds or is there more to this story?

RIP Christina Gardini

Christina Gardini was only 27 years old. She was a paramedic at Maimonides Medical Center.

Apparently, Christina’s  motorcycle hit the rear of a double-parked truck and burst into flames on Bay 35th Street in Bath Beach at 11:30 am yesterday.

Fellow EMT’s and paramedics lined up and saluted her as an ambulance drove her away.  See here

“She was an incredible force in this world, saved lives and lived her own to the fullest,” wrote a friend of Maimonides Medical Center Paramedic Christina Gardini.

Funeral arrangements for Christina:

Sunday, March 1st Andrew Torregrossa & Sons 1305-79th Street, Brooklyn   Wake 2-4pm / 7-9pm

Fighting Traffic Tickets in Brooklyn

fish

I just noticed the Shell Station on 65th Street and 7th Avenue changed their sign a bit.

Now you can get help with your traffic tickets from criminal lawyers and get a car wash.

The sign used to look like this:

While Shops on 3rd Close, Company Hired to Form a BID Is Clueless

Yesterday, I shared about some more store closures on 3rd Avenue. The people who want the BID think all the store owners are wealthy and can afford the BID. If you live here and talk with the merchants, you know a lot of them can’t afford one more bill.

#NoMoreTaxes

Support the Merchants – NO BID on 3rd Avenue….the Merchants can work together without a BID.

Councilman Justin Brannan wasted our tax dollars on this!
