Bookmark Shoppe’s Christmas Items Are Out

Last year, I saw all the cute things that the Bookmark Shoppe at 8415 – 3rd Avenue shared online.

In the first week of December, I went in to get some of those Christmas items. ALL of the cute items were GONE! The woman in Bay Ridge shop early and get the cute stuff.

When I saw these giant Elf on the Shelf dolls, I thought we didn’t need them. We realized we need one (maybe two) to drive some family members crazy (imagine having to move this giant elf around every day!)

Some friends who celebrate Christmas Eve are going to get this book.

I love buying people books at The Bookmark Shoppe. Their gift wrapping is awesome. They use clear bags and ribbon and it looks great (it is also done fast at the store).

Swastikas on a Magen David Yeshiva in Brooklyn – Politicians Response is Good

Vandals spray-painted red swastikas on the Magen David Yeshiva at 2132 McDonald Avenue in Gravesend. The swastikas were on a pillar and window of the school. The boys who attend this school shouldn’t have to deal with this hate.

The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.

Senator Steve Chan, Councilwoman Susan Zhuang, Assemblyman Colton and Mark Treyger went there to be with the community and show unity. Their message is clear – hate will not be tolerated

Who Won NYC Council – District 47’s Council Seat in Bay Ridge?

10:20 pm: 95.15% of the votes recorded

You can see the effects of a gerrymandered district in this election.

You see the snake’s neck? To the left and right of the neck are smart Brooklynites who know what is going on. Those people were gerrymandered out of the district.

Simulated Ferry Crash at The Bklyn Army Terminal on 11/5- NYU Langone Will Respond

It’s great that they are practicing, but the time the early morning is not a good time for this because many people are trying to get to work and school. They should do it from 9:00 – 11:00 am.

Police on 68th Street and 17 Avenue Now

Senator Steve Chan went to 68th Street and 17th Avenue because police are there. Senator Chan shared that he can not disclose why the police are there, but that the neighbors are not in danger.

The Citizen App shows that a person is barricaded in at 1720 – 68th Street.

Bay Ridge Responded With Popup Food Pantries

Several Bay Ridge women have responded to the government’s failure to fund SNAP by making popup food pantries on their block. Such kindness!
