August 5, 2020Max Rose Isn’t Afraid to Speak Out
This morning I spoke with @Fox5NY about how City Hall ignored the outer boroughs once again — and now we’re paying the price.
No power isn’t just an inconvenience. It’s dangerous for those with medical conditions. pic.twitter.com/Wo5GwsddLD

Unfortunately for Bay Ridge, we have politicians who are afraid to speak up for their community because they don’t want to offend their party, but Max Rose isn’t one of them.

August 5, 2020Many Trees in Bay Ridge are Down From the Storm
![]()
The streets are a mess today. I’m surprised the city didn’t have a company come and cut this tree as it is dangerous. Thankfully, the kids here are really good or this could be a problem!
Alternate side parking was active, even though trees are down and there are piles of branches in parking spaces.

August 4, 2020Did Brannan’s Article on Property Taxes Fool You?
![]()
Did today’s article in the Daily News written by Councilman Justin Brannan and Joe Borelli fool you into thinking these politicians care about high property taxes in their area? Seen here and here.
All this article did was remind Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights that Justin Brannan is the wrong person for this job!
Strangely, after this year’s budget passed, Brannan tweeted that home owners will pay about $300 less next year. He didn’t mention that in today’s article.
If either Brannan or Borelli were authentic, they would have written an article when Senator Andrew Gounardes and the senate passed a bill to give NYS homeowners a tax break. Gounardes admitted to doing that here:
![]()
Justin Brannan helped Corey Johnson and Mayor de Blasio fool us with a property tax commission. The commission did nothing, but delay progress.
Senator Andrew Gounardes and Senator Brian Benjamin said last Fall that they were waiting on the Property Tax Commission. There was no reason for Gounardes or the senate to wait – they had the power to change the law for NYC.
![]()
We also didn’t see any outrage from Brannan or Borelli when the NYC Property Tax Commission came back and eight months later nothing happened!
Maybe Justin Brannan will write an article about all the lobbyists he is hearing from. We don’t understand why his name is listed in the lobbyist database so much and what all those dollar amounts mean. See here – (on the left choose 2018, 2019 and 2019, then go to the bottom and choose the green button and put in Targets – type Justin Brannan – select his name from the list and then search)
Maybe one of Brannan’s staffers is recording all of this nonsense and will write a book to out him for all of his nonsense!
Hopefully, Democrats, Independents and Republicans are looking for candidates to take back our seat and get Brannan out! There has to be a parent in this community who can fight for us, enjoy a $148,500 salary and not need lobbyist money.
Finally, let’s not forget Brannan and Borelli’s last silly newspaper article in December 2019. A policy expert smashed Brannan and Borelli’s article and explained how their bill would hurt long-time homeowners in New York City. See here In February 2020, Borelli and Brannan tried to fool us again with another silly article pointing the finger around at everyone but themselves.

August 4, 20203rd Ave Dry Cleaners & Shoe Repair Closed
Customers of 3rd Ave Dry Cleaners & Shoe Repair are going to be sad to see the above sign on the gate of the shop on 3rd Avenue and 78th Street.
This shop is next to My Thai Restaurant, which went out of business in June.
This shop is a victim of Covid-19 since people haven’t been going to work and haven’t needed a dry cleaner and shoe repair shop as much.
Good luck to the owner!

August 3, 2020NYC Councilmen Try to Play in Sunset Park
A few days ago, Sunset Park finally got Carlos Menchaca to listen to them and put an end to the Industy City Deal. See here – This was a big win for the people. Bklyner explains the win for people – see here.
Today, Councilmen, Donovan Richards from Queens and Richie Torres from the Bronx wrote an article for the Daily News to overturn Menchaca and support Industry City. The Real Deal noted how odd the councilman from other boroughs request was. See here
WHATTTTTT?!!! Donovan and Richie need to pipe down and mind their own borough!
REBNY REBNY REBNY REBNY REBNY
![]()
Why do Richards ad Torres from other boroughs have an interest in Industry City?
REBNY REBNY REBNY REBNY REBNY
![]()
Think about what would inspire two men from other boroughs to go against Menchaca.
Torres and Richards are being inauthentic and should be embarrassed for going against Brooklynites who are protecting their area.
![]()
Errol Lewis pointed out something very strange about these men tonight on his show. Lewis noted that both Donovan Richards and Richie Torres are about to move on to other positions. Richards is going to be the Queens Borough President and Torres is going to be in the House.
The people in Sunset Park deserve a say in their neighborhood.
Do you wonder how many lobbyists are pushing this project?
