Cannonball Park Has More Homeless People
![]()
A few homeless people were sleeping in Cannonball Park for over a year.
Now there are a lot more homeless there and people have complained on social media because the Park doesn’t feel safe for them to be there with their family. Some of the people aren’t homeless, but are just drinking all day in the park.
The elected councilman’s answer is always the same: I’ll work on it. I’ll send out the group. But nothing really changes because he doesn’t follow up.
Strangely, he lives only a few blocks from the park and has dogs, but he said he didn’t know homeless people were staying in Cannonball Park.

August 15, 2020Anti-Racist Group is Late to Bay Ridge
RAAD DO GOODERS – More pics here
In the beginning of June, some jerk put up some ignorant anti-Asian signs on the corner poles. See here
Some nice people in the neighborhood came along with better signs calling out the racism. See here and here
That was over two months ago!!
Today, an anti-racist group came to the area to paper the area with anti-racist signs.
I know they mean well, but their signs over the stickers and political posters don’t look good.

Signs on the corner poles make the area look junky. They used wheat paste, so there will probably peeling paper after the next rainstorm.
RAAD is needed further down in Brooklyn where they light Asian grandmothers on fire.

Everyone stop papering the corners!

August 15, 2020Gounardes Diminishes Work of Auxiliary Police
At the beginning of August, I wrote about the Auxiliary Police at the 68th Precinct covering the graffiti. (See here)
![]()
Yet, in this weeks local newspaper, Andrew Gounardes credits himself with this. There is no mention of the auxiliary police or that they have been doing this for our community for a long time.
Long before the pandemic, in January 2020, I noted that the auxiliary police officers were painting in their uniform. (See here)
I have never seen Andrew Gounardes cover graffiti.
Welcome to election season where politicians who didn’t do things for their community now take pictures to make it look like they did!
Gounardes thinks he is fooling us with reporter Jaime DeJesus. The reporter doesn’t live in this borough and obviously doesn’t know about the auxiliary police.

This is a good move by the 68th Precinct.
The kids know the regular creepy people in the neighborhood and who’s a new creeper.
The precinct provided the officers info:

[email protected] 917-371-6943
They also wrote: “We are especially eager to hear from any agencies/organizations go want to collaborate for the benefit of our neighborhood youth!” (So nice!)
