They have six types of pie: pumpkin, apple Lattice, apple crumb, coconut custard, blueberry, cranberry apple crumb.

68th Street Between 3rd and 4th Avenue in Bay Ridge – Vehicle Wedged In – Avoid This Street
Oops someone tried to sneak by the Amazon truck and there wasn’t enough room!
Montgomery M. shared these pictures of a SUV wedged inbetween the Amazon truck and a parked car.
They are waiting for the police so no one can get through on the street and everyone is backing up to 4th Avenue.

Empty Bowls Sale is Today – November 22nd
Today, Saturday November 22nd is the Empty Bowls event at the Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church’s Holiday Market.
Various artists in the area hand painted ceramic bowls. All the bowls are being sold for $25 each and the proceeds go to the Food Pantry at the church.

Protip: These bowls are beautiful, I always get a few and bring them to people’s homes during the holidays.

Ridgites Start a Petition to Remove Citibikes
Some blocks lost parking spaces to Citibikes oversaturation of stations in Bay Ridge.
Some Ridgites started a petition to remove some Citibikes. This petition keeps the names private – it does not show them online like other petition sites do.

Xaverian Students Call for Safety – Andrew Gounardes Failed To Take Action for Bay Ridge

Six weeks after two Xaverian students were hit by a car on Narrows Avenue, 7th Grade students at Xaverian called for changes to the streets. See article:
After Accident Injures Two, Xaverian Students Lead Push for Safer Streets
Politicians have failed to take action for the community.
a) No changes were made to the street to prevent speeding and people getting hurt.
b) No one was arrested. One student is STILL in the hospital (the other has returned to school). Why hasn’t the driver been arrested?
*The name of the driver has not been released – she’s an adult. Why was her name withheld?
We were told there was a video, so this should be easy to prove.
Senator Gounardes wrote about the driver speeding, but then went silent.
c) Andrew Gounardes failed to get the DOT to take action in Bay Ridge because he is playing politics on social media and using profanity against Trump. We need aa leader who is focused on this community.
Gounardes is busy being unprofessional using profanity to get attention, instead of doing his job, Journalists at Politico thought this ranting was “news.”
Why doesn’t Andrew Gounardes have someone in his circle who can remind him that elected officials should uphold a higher standard of language and conduct?

Congresswoman Malliotakis Speaks Out Against Socialism
Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis voiced strong opposition to socialism, stating that she believes it to be a precursor to communism. Watch the video:
She noted that many immigrants came to the United States seeking to escape socialist policies in their home countries, citing Venezuela’s collapse as an example.
Malliotakis also argued that Mayor-elect Mandami’s policy proposals resemble the ideas of Karl Marx.

Shore Parkway is a Wreck – Design Phase Delayed Until June 2026
When your local leaders are too concerned with lobbyist projects, and didn’t do much about Shore Parkway. Now the design phase is delayed until June 2026.
It’s gotten so bad that CBS did a story on the dilapidated bike path.

Small sections should have been paved to upkeep the bike path to Cesear’s Bay.

Hey Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights registered vehicle owners, on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Dyker Heights Golf Club Parking Lot at 1030 86 Street.
The NYPD Crime Prevention Division will be providing free steering wheel locks for Honda CRV and Toyota Highlander vehicles.
NYPD Auto Crime will be offering free catalytic converter etching to all NYS registered vehicles.

Nydia Velazquez is Retiring. Who Will Run for Her Seat?
Nydia Velazquez is the first Puerto Rican woman in Congress. She represents District 7 in Brooklyn (see below), which is quite different since redistricting.
She is 72 years old and today she said she will not be running for re-election.
Who will run for her seat?
