November 10, 2020Stabbing – 75th & 4th Avenue in Bay Ridge
A man was stabbed on 75th Street and 4th Avenue around 7:30 pm tonight. See info here
The man was attacked by two other men. The man was stabbed and they ran off. The victim was left laying on the ground bleeding.
Police are searching for a 35 year old man with curly hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt.
It’s weird the other perp wasn’t mentioned.
Hopefully the man who was stabbed will be okay.

November 10, 2020Frontus Meeting on Testing
During the election debate, the topic of the SHSAT Testing came up and some residents were upset by Assemblywoman Mathylde Frontus’ responses. Now Dr. Frontus is bringing a former NYC educator to speak about how other states compare to NYC’s high school process.
Starr has not worked in NYC for a long time, as he was an educational leader in Maryland and Virginia. He is against standardized testing overall and wrote about the paradox of testing here.

If you read the list, it’s all the places that people in Bay Ridge love!
They are such thoughtful owners to do this while they are working to keep their own businesses functioning during this pandemic.
Each proprietor has set a goal to collect a certain number of items.
Some have a goal of 350 items – so help them out if you can!

November 7, 2020FIAO Soccer Nov – June
I thought this Soccer Program was funded by Councilman Brannan, but only members of FIAO get it for free. That’s strange!
Things that were funded by NYC Council have not happened this year due to Covid-19, so there should be plenty of money for this program.
Afterschool programs are lot smaller and special events haven’t happened this year, so money should be returned to NYC.
