January 3, 2021Politicians Speak Out Against Swastika Flag at Warbasse Houses in Coney Island
At the Warbasse Houses in Coney Island, a resident hung a swastika flag in their apartment. Their neighbors could see it and complained about the anti-Semitic symbol. What a terrible way to begin a new year!
Be thankful that you have good neighbors!
Assemblywoman Mathylde Frontus wrote about the situation:
The management at the building should make the resident take it down.
There has to be some part of the law that says that people can’t use these symbols to torment their neighbors, especially in close quarters.

January 2, 2021Woman Robbed and Injured on 5th Avenue and 90th Street at 1 pm in Bay Ridge
Today, a woman was robbed and injured on 5th Avenue and 90th Street in Bay Ridge around 1:00 pm.
There are three elected leaders for this area. Will they remain silent AGAIN when a woman is hurt in this area of Bay Ridge?
You can see the videos on Citizen here – a lot of good people stood by to make sure that the woman was being helped.
Hopefully the woman will be okay soon – someone wouldn’t go to the hospital if they weren’t seriously injured.

Woohooo!! Tang Spa is back in Bay Ridge!
Everyone knows Tang Spa because it was the clean massage place next to Connors and Sullivan. (See here)
Tang Spa closed in the Summer due to the pandemic.
Tang Spa is back in Bay Ridge at a new site: 7720 – 5th Avenue.

Many people shared New Years Eve messages on the last day of the year. Most leaders posted messages of hope for their communities.
Bay Ridge’s is unfortunate to have Senator Andrew Gounardes, who had to show how crass he is with the graphic above. (See here)
I could understand a teenager posting this. This shows a lack of professionalism and a man that doesn’t understand his role in this community.
I showed my neighbor the graphic. My neighbor asked who is being given the finger on 89th Street and Colonial?
It didn’t take long to figure out what Republican lives in that area.
